Greenberry Hills
I grew up in Greenberry Hills in the ‘80s (we moved to Greencastle in ‘91), and whenever I’m back in town I like to drive through the old neighborhood.
I drove through earlier this week and was a bit sad to see it’s looking more disheveled than I recall it ever being. To be sure, a number of homes are still in solid shape with well-kept properties, but there were far more with overgrown lawns and homes in noticeable disrepair and/or vehicles in disrepair than when I drove through two summers ago.
Does anyone know of any specific causes of the decline, or is it just a matter of an old, modest neighborhood getting older?
