Cub Cadet LTX 1050 Deck Belt
I recently dropped the deck to replace the blades. About two weeks later, the deck belt snapped. I replaced the belt, and the new one snapped after 45 minutes of use. I watched a video to make sure I installed the belt that was installed correctly. The pulleys seem to be rotating freely without any issues, and I cleared any debris on the deck.
When I reinstalled the deck, a spring came off the lawn mower somewhere near the front right tire near the pulley on the lawnmower that gives power to the deck. I went online and tried to figure out where this spring goes and what it does, but I can't seem to find anything on it. I was able to reinstall the deck, and it worked for 45 minutes before the belt snapped. I noticed the deck was sitting way higher than before on its highest setting.
Any ideas on what's going on and what that spring does and where it goes? It's not the spring on the deck that needs to be removed to route the belt under. It was hard taking it off and getting it back on, but I managed it. I'll need to do it again, unfortunately.
