IUI Advice
Looking for some advice here…
My husband and I have been TTC since August 2025 (10 months) — we’re both 34. I had a chemical pregnancy in November 2025 and since then all negative. We’ve been tracking BBT, LH, and PdG from the beginning.
My bloodwork July 2025:
• FSH: 7.03
• LH: 6.66
• AMH: 11.534
• TSH: 3.319
April 2025:
• TSH: 3.29
Husband’s SA and bloodwork all normal, HSG test normal, ultrasounds all clear. Genetic testing all clear. My REI said I have “polycystic like ovaries”, but not a PCOS diagnosis. My cycles are extremely regular 28 days with ovulation CD14 - CD16.
We’re scheduled for my our first IUI at the end of June/July. However, I’m wondering if my TSH levels are more concerning. My REI said the threshold for treatment has increased to anything above 4. Based on my levels increasing from 2021 - 2026 I’m wondering if my thyroid levels should be addressed first to see if it’s impacting our TTC. Honestly, we’d like to avoid the $3k cost of each IUI cycle if we can.
TSH History:
• 2021: 2.4
• 2022: 3.09
• 2024: 3.65
• 2026: 3.29
It feels strange that my REI isn’t concerned about my TSH levels (consulting my PCP tomorrow), when I’ve heard REIs prefer below 2 for fertility treatments.
