Double IUI?

Has anyone done a double IUI? Our clinic has given us the option of our current scheduled IUI on Friday and then doubling up with another on Saturday. The reason I ask is that second likely won’t be covered by insurance so before we pay out of pocket has anyone seen success they’ve attributed to a double IUI? Anyone do them and not successful? Has anyone heard anything at all?

First IUI cycle please guide

So Iam 36F and 38M this is my first medicated IUI cycle my doctor suggested it bcz I have 5*4cm intramural fibroid which is kind of making my uterus slightly elongated and we cant operate as it is intramural and we have to wait for 6-8 months I Have already had an myectomy in feb2025 so she wants to speed up the process before this fibroid grows more so i have taken letrozol 5mg from cd3-7 and today on cd8 2 follicle in left ovary 18mm 14mm and endo lining of 8mm she did not mentioned about right ovary cz may be fibroid make it difficult to see she will give hcg shot on cd10 and then next day or whenever she will do the iui process. Now my query is this i did an hcg test on feb25 and my left tube was blocked and she is giving me trigger shot on cd10 is it not early it should be on 12th or 13th day

Now as for my self Iam a very calculative and overanalysing person this is my downside I overanalyse everything when i asked this question she asked me to stop googling stop questioning and have faith and i know I should have but what can i do

Please can someone has experience in this is everything going right is hcg shot on cd10 normal

IUI failed

My first IUI post laproscopy and hystoscopy failed this month
Got a negative test today. Kind of broken since my hopes where high since I ovulated on day13 and everything seemed fine
Had couple of symptoms in the waiting period which resembled early pregnancy but looks like it’s just the effects of progestrone
Looking for some motivation to start the second cycle next month
Endo thickness was less than 10 and that’s what doctors are pointing out at
Protocols are changed accordingly
Any experience would help

Does ovidrel make you feel sad

Does anyone else feel like this after taking ovidrel. I am so sad. Every time I trigger, a few days later I start crying every day until my cycle ends. I feel like I am going crazy.

Anyone else from 5/5 (or similar) test positive?

I had my 1st IUI 5/5. I had “4 mature follicles” according to the doctor, I don’t remember the exact sizes but I think all over 17mm. I did IUI anyways as I am 43 so the chance of all those follicles being healthy eggs is low. I got a faint positive yesterday and today it was a little darker. Bloodwork tomorrow and I’m just crossing my fingers I end up with one healthy baby.

Positive after IUI break ❤️

I wanted to share my story incase there’s anyone else like me out there. We had been dealing with infertility for almost 1.5 years. It was soul crushing. After having a chemical I decided it was time to try an IUI. When my first IUI failed I was absolutely devastated. It was probably my lowest point mentally. I made a post on this group asking about it I should take a break after one IUI. I felt like a quitter.

I did decide that after that first IUI I would take a break. Stop the meds stop all the madness and just live my life. I had so much fun - a good friends wedding, going to the beach and I just truly relaxed and stopped caring.

This was the month I got pregnant - on our own. I’m still in disbelief and it’s still early days. But I wanted to share my story incase there’s anyone else out there who feels like they are at the end of their rope and feeing like they need a moment to breathe. It’s okay to allow yourself that!

Ai

Have any of you had experience with your fertility clinic using AI? Ours uses an AI system to put all of our test results and necessary info in to give us a clear picture of what the outcomes may be with IUI vs IVF and so on (at least that's my understanding). I guess to give us the success rates to make the best decision for us. I'm not sure why, but I feel weird about it. Just wanting to hear others thoughts or experiences. Please don't tell me how bad AI is for the environment and the world in general, because I definitely understand.

Just had my monitoring ultrasound. Only 1 follicle this time but she’s BIG. My IUI is scheduled for Friday. It’s been a hard 3 years and yet I am feeling hopeful this time around. Wish me luck🤞🏻

Another failed IUI

I was really hopeful for this 2nd IUI. Raised my letrozole to 10mg, got growth. On CD12 I had a 16mm 17mm on left and a 21mm on the right. We triggered the next day, then IUI on CD 14. My doctor called it playing the lotto with those two left follicles, considering we could have twins. I just really do not understand why it’s not working. Why are we not having success?

Should I just start IVF? Am I not doing something that’s going to help it work? My husband and I are just so heartbroken.

EDIT FOR THOSE ASKING: I’m 27, my HSG test was good, husbands SA was fabulous off the charts results. I’m not with an RE. I’m thinking at this point to switch over to an actual clinic.

5/21 IUI twins?

My second (and last) IUI is scheduled for tomorrow morning. If this cycle doesn't work out I'm going to work on lowering my BMI even further to qualify for IVF.

We are both 34. I have PMOS and hypothyroidism.

Stats from midcycle ultrasound:

- 2 x 22 mm follicles, one on each ovary

- 12.8 mm endometrial lining

Trigger shot last night (5/19). I'm a little worried it didn't go IM but oh well.

Last IUI my husband's post-wash numbers were around 113 million with 76.2% progressive motility. That was after a 4 day abstinence (unintentional) whereas this one will be about two days, so I'll update with the numbers after the procedure tomorrow.

Sitting here waiting for my HSG and have to laugh

That they make you take a pregnancy test beforehand.

Like, how I wish it would come back positive and I could just go home!!

I hate all of it. lol. Almost feels a little cruel.

IUI number 6ish?

Hi, any advice would be greatly appreciated.
So I am 27 female my husband 30 male. I have a daughter that’s six years old and we have been trying to conceive for 3 years.
Throughout that time we have done 6 cycles. 4 were medicated cycles with timed intercourse and trigger. And 2were IUI medicated cycle with trigger.
I am currently on the sixth cycle and I’m on 11dpo past IUI. Every single time we have gone on this journey, my body responds well to the follicles growing, the lining, progesterone, and estrogen.
But by the time I’m at the end of the two week wait I start getting negative pregnancy results, within all my cycles the same reoccurring pattern it’s still happening.
Mybody response to all the medicine, but by the time the two week weight is done nothing sticks.
I have not been able to get pregnant since I had my daughter and since we have been trying for three years. The doctors say everything is fine.
All the test have came back clear HSG, husband‘s results are good, AMH is good, I had a laparoscopy last year minor endometriosis nothing to be concerned about.
But every time I get to the end of the two week wait it doesn’t stick.
Has anybody experienced this or has any advice on what to do cause it just seems like the doctors are not getting to the root of the problem of letting it stick. Thank you!

First IUI

Triggered last night with Ovridel & have my first IUI tomorrow morning at 8:30am (exactly 36 hours post trigger). Had two follicles on my right ovary (20mm & 19mm) during my US yesterday, and my lining was 9.88mm. Success stories?! Using donor sperm and we are so excited but also nervous!! 🤞🏼

One failed IUI, going straight to IVF

I am turning 37 years old in two weeks and dealing with unexplained secondary infertility. My son is almost 3 and we got pregnant with him on our very first attempt. We’ve been trying for a year now for a second and my AMH/ovarian reserve is low so I’m feeling like time is of the essence. We did our first IUI last cycle and it failed and we now feel like we want to go straight to IVF. We are self pay since insurance doesn’t cover it and we just don’t want to waste any more time or money. Am I crazy for jumping right to IVF instead of giving IUI another chance? I just feel like the success rate is so low and we did everything aggressively the first round. 7.5 mg Letrozole, monitored ultrasounds and a trigger shot and it still didn’t work. Would love to hear from others who were in a similar situation! 🤍

traveling and IUI

HI Ladies - I had a cancelled cycle this month due to too many follicles. It was my second consecutive cycle. In June, I'm traveling (for work, not for funsies) CD 7 through CD 13. I hate to miss a cycle. Did anyone navigate this type of situation?

Second IUI - Worried about timing

I have my second IUI scheduled for tomorrow morning 🤞🏼 but I am worried about the timing..

Due to insurance I didn’t start monitoring yesterday (CD13) and got the following

1 20mm follicle on my right side
5 small(10mm or less) on the left
Lining 11.6
LH: 14.44
Estradiol: 113.2
Progesterone: 0.93

My clinic had me trigger last night between 6 and 8pm, I did it at 7:30pm and they scheduled my IUI for tomorrow 9am. I am worried about ovulating too soon and missing my window, does it seem normal with those numbers to wait until tomorrow to do the IUI?
