Great lineup tonight. Bowman was a fresh crack and absolutely delicious. Milam and Green was a little shock of ethanol at first but second sip and a little more time brought all kinds of flavor, then the Lost Lantern Frey Ranch brought its enormous flavors and proof and long finish. Went for a second pour of the Bowman, amazing bottle. Now a nightcap of the LLFR and its complexity.
Smoked Cinnamon bitters, turbinado sugar. Big cube. This one's checked out.
Grabbed this this morning. Only available in Maine supposedly. I have a 10 year old Julios store pick that is very nice so I'm excited to try this one.
13th Colony Symphony Bourye, then 4 Ryes- ECBP A126, Michter's 10, Michter's BP Rye and Old Overholt-12 Cask Strength.
Which will be the top 2?
Hosting a group tonight; some are not hard core enthusiasts, so built this as kind of an introduction to a variety of different distilleries and profiles. Will go left to right.
Michter's 10 year Straight Rye 2026. $199 OTD. Finally got one without getting hosed.
Found a good mixture for this Wathen's. Outstanding combo. Cheers!
Happy Father's Day you filthy animals🤣😂
Left to right as shown; New Cracks on the WSR, Blanton's, OWA and FP. My first bottles of WSR and OWA. Blanton's is an S cork (😂). Cheers!
Grabbed some new single barrels at Julios and also found a Michters barrel strength Sour Mash. These are going to be fun!
Just got this little gem for tastings and travel. I am in no way affiliated with Bottle to Bond. The markings on the glass show 1/2, 1, 1 1/2 ounces and the case has a fitted and padded interior and a hard exterior shell. I think it will withstand some abuse.
