New garage installation
Hey everyone,
I recently had a new garage door and opener installed and wanted to get your opinions on the setup and whether everything looks/sounds normal during operation.
Here’s what I got installed:
- 9x7 Sandstone long panel garage door with tinted windows
- R17.68 insulated
- Double rubber weatherstripping
- Bottom retainer + bottom seal
- New spring, tracks, and hardware
Opener:
- Chamberlain belt drive smart opener
- MyQ enabled
- 2 remotes included
Warranty:
- Installer warranty: 2 years
- Manufacturer warranty: Lifetime motor/drive, 5 years parts, 1 year accessories

A few things I was wondering:
- Does the opener/door sound normal?
- Is the rail/opener movement and slight flexing normal?
- Does the install quality look decent overall?
