Storage unit gun
Had a friend purchase a storage unit. Inside the unit was a 50 year-old gun 38 Special revolver with all the documentation the box very cool. did the right thing and contacted law-enforcement. The gun is not stolen and wasn’t used any crimes. It was never registered in the state of California. In fact the serial number was so old. It was coming up as like a rifle or something. The police said that since the owner is deceased that next of kin is now the new owner and that they would have to sign off on a PPT through the FFL law-enforcement won’t assist in the contact storage unit won’t assist in any contact so if you’re unable to contact the person, how are you supposed to ask them to sign it off? So how is he supposed to complete the DRS and get it released from the sheriff?
