I have a question about how Uni-Assist calculates GPA for the VPD.

I was enrolled at my university for 3 years, but I only completed my first year. After that, I had to leave due to forced relocation (war situation), and I did not continue my studies. However, I remained officially enrolled for some time.

Now my transcript shows:

Year 1: completed with good grades

Year 2–3: marked as failed / not passed because I didn’t attend exams

My question is:

Will Uni-Assist only consider my completed first year, or will they also include the failed/incomplete years when calculating the GPA?

Has anyone had a similar situation?

I have a question regarding how Uni-Assist calculates grades for the VPD (Vorprüfungsdokumentation).
I was enrolled at my university for three years in total. However, I was forced to leave my studies after completing my first year because of the war, which caused me to relocate. After that, I did not attend the university anymore, although I remained officially enrolled for administrative reasons.
Now I have requested my official transcript of records, and it shows:
First year: completed with good/excellent grades
Second and third year: marked as “not passed”, “failed”, or similar entries because I did not attend or complete exams during that period
My question is:
How will Uni-Assist treat this situation when calculating my VPD?
Since the VPD for many programs only requires one completed academic year, I’m wondering:
Will they only consider the completed first year of passed courses?
Or will the failed/incomplete years also negatively affect the calculated GPA?
Do they average everything across all enrolled years, even if I didn’t actively study in the later years due to forced circumstances like war displacement?
I would really appreciate any insight, especially from people who had similar situations or experience with Uni-Assist evaluation rules.
