Used 3080 10gb vs 12gb for 1080p

I am looking at a few used 3080s, and there's a 12gb one that I can pick up for $360, and on average you can get a 10gb for like $300 or so. Is it worth the $60 price hike for 1080p? I could negotiate that one down a little more but can also get a 10gb one very easily for $300 so just wondering if it's worth the effort and the extra cash. It seems to be in good condition but pretty equal to all the other ones I have viewed.

Thanks

Used 3080 for $300 or rx 9060 xt for $450 (or others)

I need to upgrade soon from a 1060 and I have a r7 5700x3d. I have a 750 watt psu so power shouldn't be an issue for the 3080. I have spotted some good used 3080s on ebay that don't appear to have been mined on, one of them is LHR so it couldn't have been a big mining card anyway. I'm playing on 1080p and was looking at the 9060 xt 16gb, but I've seen a lot of stuff suggesting the 3080 can have significantly higher performance on some games. Obvious downside of the 3080 is it has no warranty and is much older. I will also consider a 5060 or 5060 ti, either model of vram but it seems like you get crucified instantly if you buy an 8gb card nowadays.

I am planning to Subnautica 2, fh6, and already play some siege and helldivers and stuff.

Lastly, should I be concerned about the higher power draw and associated heat with the 3080? My case is basically all mesh so pretty well ventilated, but is it going to inflate my cpu temps a lot?

I have put off upgrading my 1060 for so long, as I am on 1080p, rarely have time to play games anymore, and mostly play games like Siege, OW2, and fh5. I am really excited to play Subnautica 2 and Forza 6 this summer, and with Sub now being on UE5 and Forza modernizing I am finally below the minimum system requirements for both. Subnautica is even claiming their minimum card, which is a 1660, will run the game at only 30 fps at 1080p.

I am looking at the Arc b580 and the 9060xt. I live very close to MicroCenter so I can get a founder's edition b580 for $250 when they get a shipment. I spotted an open box 9060 xt 16gb for $350 the other day, but it was gone before I could grab it. They have an ASROCK 9060 xt 16gb for $420. They have an 8gb one for $330. I am open to other retailers as well. Just trying to get whatever I need and not drop a ton of money, but like I haven't upgraded in so long so if I should just splurge that's fine. I just don't get a lot of time during the school year to play.

CPU: Ryzen 7 5700x3d

RAM: 16 gb ddr4-3200

The cpu is crazy OP for a 1060 but I got it for a really good deal a little back in hopes that I would soon upgrade my gpu.
