Tall Guy Creeker Advice
Hi Everyone, I’m a 6’4, 190lb paddler looking for advice on finding the right creeker. I often fall between M and L sizes, so any input from folks with a similar build is appreciated. I’ve been paddling about 7yrs and regularly paddle class V. If it is class III/IV, I almost always take my L Antix 2.0 or my Supernova, both of which I love. I’m looking for a shitrunner.
I paddled a Medium Gnarvana for a couple years and absolutely loved it but started to feel like it was a bit small when the water was juicy. I loved how it edged and how easy it was to roll.
I switched to a Waka OG and although I like many aspects of the boat, it’s exceptionally hard to roll in moving whitewater and has a tendency to flat spin. I also found it very hard to get the hip pads snug enough without losing feeling in my legs.
As such, I’m looking for a creeker. Considering a Large Code but I’ve heard mixed reviews. Any thoughts or advice appreciated!
