Animals heal the soul in ways words never could.

They are only a chapter in our lives,
yet to them, we are the entire story.

The love they give is so pure,
so unwavering,
that sometimes it feels greater
than the human heart can fully hold.

Perhaps we do not deserve their love
as much as they deserve the love
that shines so brightly within them.

They are angels disguised in fur and feathers,
sent to teach us life’s greatest lessons:

To live fully.

To find joy in the smallest moments.

To love loudly,
without fear,
without conditions.

To be present for the ones we cherish.

To stay close when life feels heavy.

Animals ask for so little—
a meal, a safe place to rest,
and someone to love.

Yet they wake each day
with wonder in their eyes
and gratitude in their hearts.

How I envy their freedom.

While we carry stress,
grief,
worry,
and the weight of yesterday,

they chase the sunlight,
rest in the moment,
and greet each day as a gift.

If only we could see the world
through the eyes of our pets..

with curiosity instead of fear,
gratitude instead of longing,
and love instead of judgment

perhaps heaven would not be a place we wait for.

Perhaps it would be here,
on Earth,
all around us.
