Good evening
Any one from mtech self finance who are searching for hostels or pgs outside the college can you please dm me ?
Hi seniors, I got vlsi in iiit kancheepuram (mtech) can you please tell about the placements regarding vlsi in iiit kancheepuram? I would be helpful for me
For those who got a seat in IIIT Trichy (B.Tech CSE/ECE):
How to reach the college
The college is around 15–16 km from Tiruchirappalli Railway Station.
From the railway station, walk about 800 m to the central bus stand.
Board Bus No. 45 and tell the conductor you want to get down at Fathimanagar.
The bus journey takes around 45 minutes (in the worst case).
Bus travel is free for women under the Tamil Nadu government scheme.
After getting down at Fathimanagar, you'll need to walk about 500 m to reach the main gate.
If you prefer, you can take an auto directly from the railway station. They usually charge around ₹500–₹600, depending on your bargaining skills.
About the college
If you have 96–97 percentile or above, I suggest that you thoroughly research before joining.
The campus is quite small. From the main entrance, you can almost see the entire campus. It mainly consists of:
One academic block
One boys' hostel
One girls' hostel (currently, some boys are accommodated on the top floor because the boys' hostel is full)
One common mess
Before making your final decision, I strongly recommend contacting current seniors through LinkedIn and asking about their experience. Getting first-hand feedback can help you make a more informed choice.
I'll share my thoughts on the placement scenario in my next post.
