How well known is Newfoundland?

Just curious if other redditors know of the island of Newfoundland? (where i’m from) or anything about it. Anytime I tell someone that’s not from there about it they’ve never heard of it. Now come to think of it the majority of them have been American. Could potentially have something to do with it lol.

Advice on aquarium/stand

I have a 300G deep dimension marineland tank, it was built in 2011 but i’ve had it since 2021. The guy I bought it from had it on a stand he built inside his house and when we went to move it out he realized it wasn’t going to fit out and we had to cut the legs to get it out. Then when I got it back to my house I spent days cutting and sanding the legs to make sure they were all even and they seemed good and the tank was fine for 5 years until last week when it leaked from the front bottom seam. While I was checking to see where the leak was coming from I noticed that along the front middle of the tank there is a \~1.5mm gap between the bottom trim of the aquarium and the stand. I had a guy come in who reseals aquariums in my area and he resealed it but said I should buy some xps foam to put under it to fill in that little gap that more than likely caused the problem to begin with. My research has since told me not to put any foam or anything under a rimmed tank because it can cause new issues but i’m wondering if anyone can give me some advice on what to do here since I have one large fish currently in a 150G tote needing to go back in his home. Do I put the foam under there and hope that it levels everything out and takes pressure off the bottom pane or do I go back to the drawing board and try and level the stand more somehow? Got lucky with the leak that it didn’t ruin my basement but I really don’t want it to happen again.
Thanks
