As 2026 heads into its final few months, Opeth only has a handful of live dates left on their calendar. They'll be live in Sweden on Aug. 29th, before playing two dates in India on Oct. 3rd and 4th. After that, they'll wrap up touring festivities with a brief run through South America with stops in Chile on Nov. 1st, Argentina on Nov. 3rd, Brazil on Nov. 6th, Colombia on Nov. 8th and lastly, a date in Cuidad, Mexico on Nov. 11th.
With 2027 not expected to see the release of any new music (though never say never), and Mikael working on personal project stuff, is 2027 perhaps going to be an off year for the band, as far as live shows go? I imagine there will be writing & a little recording for a possible 2028 record + tour, but I'm curious what others think :)
Now that Mike is back in the fold, would anyone here want to see another Dream Theater & Opeth tour? To me, I couldn't ask for a better bill than that, given that DT & Opeth are my two favorite bands (in that order).
Could do 1 leg in North America & 1 leg in Europe.
