Opinion: career mode now is filled with a lot of features that just slow it down

A lot of the time I want to start career mode nowadays I feel like it’s way slower especially to setup. I feel like a lot of the new features are unnecessary and boring. Do features like coaches make the game better? I don’t think so. It’s effort that you set up at the start of career mode. The cutscenes too. Who the hell wants cutscenes for every single signing and especially sale and loan. There’s just a lot of features imo that have been added in the last few years that don’t make the game better or more fun and just slow it down and take effort

Drawing too much

I just started a career with ManU and I’ve just tried quick simming the majority of the games but it’s basically every game is ending in a 1-1,2-2,3-3 game and most of them are vs teams I should be beating. I’m not sure if it’s some settings I have to tweak or something but this can’t be right

Learning to play against the legendary AI

What are some of the tricks, secrets and knowledge to be able to play and win against the Legendary AI as a new Legendary level player. It is not only restricted to fc26 but from FC22 and onwards. I have watched some videos but the videos do not specificy which level of difficulty. I want to win more tackles or balls from the opponent when they are in possession because I realised that is one of my weaknesses.

I’m playing FIFA 17 - it’s broken

So a couple weeks ago I went back and downloaded fifa 17. It was my first fifa I bought for myself and I always loved it way more than any other (bar for fifa street but that’s a story for another day). Anyways, I’m doing a Norwich career, and I brought in 4 players on Loan To Buy for 2 years while in the Championship, but now I’m in the prem and they are unable to accept my contract (after buying out the loan). It’s broken. I’ve tried using two different cheat engines but I can’t force accept it, I can’t seem to edit their value so that I can just sign them in January, I can’t really do anything. Does anybody know what to do?

Question about the left wing

I have a question? In a manager's career, would it be possible to set tactics and player roles so that the left winger is the top scorer in the tactical view and mainly scores goals like Cristiano Ronaldo? Is this impossible in an FC 26 manager's career? I ask because, as a manager, I'd like to develop the left winger into someone who will break records :)

How do you like my "ultra realistic" Sevilla save :D

Udogie (red card) is usually my left back and Medina on bench. Also my second gk is Kahlina.

Gomes, Ronaldo and Prestianni are lighting up goals from left right and center.

Who should i look for to replace Zakaria and Balerdi, they dont play very well

Weird gameplay issues

I play on Authentic and the weirdest mechanics make the game borderline unplayable sometimes. I play on World Class.

  1. Half the time my defenders run like they’re stuck in the mud. It looks like they’re causally strolling around while the opponent is charging at goal

  2. Goalies deflect the lightest shot right back into the box. All my defenders stand around and watch while the opposing striker taps in an easy rebound. I’m playing a Chelsea save and Penders cannot catch the ball to save his life. Idk if this is EAs way to script the game when the CPU can’t score.

  3. Passing with A / X rarely works. So many times my player will just love tap the ball right into the defenders feet. I have to drive pass every single time.

  4. Sometimes the opposing team will randomly start playing like prime Barca tiki taka. No matter what I do I will not intercept a pass until they score or get a shot on target

Side note: without fail , the first thing Arsenal does in every save is sell every defender they have

Any unique career mode ideas to make the game fun again?

I feel like I’ve already tried most of the classic ideas and I’m struggling to find a new save that actually keeps me entertained long term.
I already did:
a realistic rebuild
Schalke 04 with only German players
a save focused only on young wonderkids/prospects
a full academy/youth-only career mode
The problem is that after a while every save starts feeling the same, and I want something that gives me motivation to keep playing season after season.
I’m looking for ideas with interesting rules, restrictions, storylines, transfer policies, etc. Anything that makes the career mode feel fresh and actually fun again.

how to have fun while playing on ultimate difficulty

i hate how one game is so easy that i win 8:0 and the next one i cant get the ball off ai. do you have any suggestions how to make it more realistic? on internet i only found posts/videos where author makes their sliders worse and ai better but it kills fun for me since ai already cheats during normal gameplay.

West Ham Rebuild

As a lifelong West Ham supporter, I decided to take matters into my own hands and start a West Ham rebuild save starting with the team getting relegated to the Championship.
First order of business was hosting the looming fire sale, selling Bowen, Fernandes, Soucek, Mavro, AWB, Edson, Taty, and the majority of the first team for relatively cheap.

Going into the first season in the Championship , I’ve tried to rebuild the club in a fairly realistic way. Obviously West Ham will not spend most of the money they get for their stars, but they will need to fill in the depleted roster.

Having only kept Scarles, Walker-Peters, and Potts (Championship level English players), I had to address the entire front 4, CM, CBs, and GK.

The big fish I landed for the window were Keito Nakamura(19M), Andres Martín(14M), and Raul Rangel (15M). Nakamura and Martín finished as two of the top goalscorers in Ligue 2 and the Spanish 2nd Division respectively and will surely be looking for moves this summer, while Rangel will probably try to make the move to Europe after featuring for Mexico this summer at the World Cup.

I then went and picked up Noel Futkeu(8M) from SGF after finishing as the Bundesliga 2 top goalscorer, then picked up Darko Gyabi and Mo Cham for 6M each to fill in the midfield.

I filled in the starting XI by partnering Teden Mengi(4M) and Adbulai Bah (Loan) from Luton and City. (Mengi brings a lot of experience while Bah brings more raw talent and potential).

Tell me what yall think about the lineup so far as far as the realism goes, and I’m probably going to post an update at the end of the season with stats🫡

out of options 1,2,3, 4 which player do you think the next pass was directed to?

it’s not 1 or 2 or 3. it’s 4!!
oh you didn’t see 4 as a viable choice because the player is clearly NOT OPEN FOR A PASS?? yeah well neither did i mate but that doesn’t matter since 9 times out of fucking 10 this stupid game will choose option 4 for you whether you like it or not. then to add insult to injury the commentator will say “masterful interception from the defender. he read the play well!” HE WHAT?!

Getting to unrealistic? Guess what club.

Currently in season 5 of this career mode. I don’t want to sell everybody because of realism, but I also don’t want to keep players at my club when they’re getting to good. Any advice?

Rate my realistic Sunderland career mode

3 seasons in playing every game. Have let players go when bigger clubs come knocking. Tried to bring in some realistic talent. Barnes was the only transfer I regret as Newcastle to Sunderland isn’t that realistic.
