A bear was seen walking across my camera this morning 6am near 28 1/2 rd and Orchard. Please remember bears have no food and water this season and they keep traveling further into town. Keep aware, but they aren’t here to do any harm so keep that in mind people! If you see a bear please report to Colorado Parks and Wildlife (970)255-6100. The bear seen on my camera was a smaller black bear.
Betty is a fierce 6 pounder who lived under our shed for 2 months before she decided to join our family. Now she camps with us, plays fetch and attacks dogs if she thinks they are threats.
Seen along the trail to Brown's Pass and Hartenstein Lake near Buena Vista, Colorado (11,000 ft elevation).
See photos for the hardware used. The dog crate is 22" long and had 2 doors, 1 on a short side and 1 on a long side against the house that was removed so Betty can access her catio from the window.
We wanted a catio so our very small cat (Betty) could enjoy the afternoon sun. (Betty joined our family after living under our shed for 2 months and is happy to be an indoor cat now.) Betty immediately climbed into her new catio and it was so easy that we plan to install a 2nd on a window that gets morning sun.
