PSYCHOBYL — a dark idle extraction RPG set in a Chernobyl Zone where your mind dies and reforms with every Genesis. Coming to Early Access.

Hey,

I've been working on PSYCHOBYL with a friend, a solo dev project that mixes the slow-burn loop of an idle RPG with extraction-shooter inspirations, all wrapped in a S.T.A.L.K.E.R.-flavored post-apocalyptic Chernobyl setting.

The hook: Year 2084. The Zone exploded a second time, but what spread wasn't just radiation. It was consciousness. Every creature that enters has its mind shattered and reshaped. They call it Genesis, and each time you die, you come back changed. Stronger. Stranger.

What you actually do:

- Raid hostile maps (abandoned villages, underground labs, the Sarcophagus, Duga radar) wave-based combat

- Die a lot. Genesis-prestige into deeper layers (6+ prestige tiers, Singularity skills at endgame)

- Craft and gear up, multi-slot equipment, set bonuses, rarity tiers

- Upgrade your hideout, facilities that buff your stalker passively

- Idle progression: come back to a generator working for you

- Bilingual: English and Turkish

It's solo-developed, currently Coming Soon on Steam (Early Access in a few months). Looking for honest first impressions on whether the loop and atmosphere land.

Disclosure: some item icons, environment illustrations, and a few store screenshots are AI-generated. Gameplay code, mechanics, narrative are entirely human-made.
