Is it normal that my (16F) boyfriend (17M) was alone with two girls in their room?

We have this friend group together with 2 more boys and 2 girls from another place. We have had problems in our relationship regarding one of the girls, I realized that he talk a lot with her, almost everyday, that made me feel weird and insecure because he never had a relationship like that with another girl other than me. I told him the long calls he made with her made me uncomfortable because it was something that created intimacy and he told me he wouldn't do it again, still, I wasn't felling confident about it and I went through his phone (I'm not proud about it) and found out he was still making this calls, I even saw one from the day after I mentioned them. When I confronted him about it, he told me that it was because he thought it was stupid that the calls bothered me because they were just friends and thats what friends do. We talked and I said that he could do anything he wants, that the calls weren't a problem anymore. So I can still see that he talks and calls her daily, he makes longer calls with her than with me sometimes, and she tells him stuff she doesn't even tell me, even though I'm her friend too

So last night me and my boyfriend talked about how the tournament was. He told me that one night, the whole friend group was in his room (they stayed at the same hotel) and they had a challenge to see who could stay awake the longest. The girls went to their room at 4 am and he stayed with the other boys till 5 am when they had to left. That's when he said he went to the girls room alone and asked me if it bothered me, I told him that yes, it obviously bothered me, he got mad and refused to tell me anything else about it and said it would be better to talk about it another day.

Am I exaggerating for acting like that? Is this normal in a relationship?
