Corolla or ?

In a bit of a conundrum, i've only ever owned shit boxes that were pretty much old and abused, and had issues. Unfortunately being poor at the time didn't help. Now in a position to finally purchase something new for the first time in my life. I would absolute love a brand new car finally but am open to used or demo. Not willing to buy chinese vehicles due to poorly calibrated AEB systems (got Chery , GWM and BYD in the family, all have same issues with safety systems.)

I see the Corolla hatch is 39k, bulletproof reliability apparently and less bing bongs than the chinese cars, but honestly I don't mind sedan or suv, just want something that is straight up reliable, i have suffered for far too long.

Any alternatives? or just go with a demo corolla which i assume will be cheaper a bit. For a new car would prefer delivery immediately or under 2 months at most.

some self research
- i30 sedan hybrid elite is 39k also, similarly the k4 hatch sport is 39k also. I assume these do have more bing bongs than the corolla though.

Hi All,

Have been invited to the assessment centre session for Teach for Australia Mteach program. Just wondering if anyone has gone through this already and how difficult it may be. I did all my schooling over the ditch in NZ, and last time I took a Math class was at Yr 11 (Yr 10 Aus equivalent?). Anyway this was well over a decade ago, and I got through Uni rather easily despite this, faced little to no math, and almost 0 through my career in tech. What can I expect? I believe TFA provides material only 7 days in advance, I want to try and get study done before it to give myself the best possible shot.

Appreciate any information from those that have gone through this program.

Basically researching into all this as I'm looking to apply for Teach for Australia masters and am undecided whether to pursue primary vs secondary. Is it fair to say there are less leadership opportunities in primary? despite there being more schools, and are the opportunities in secondary, do these go to teachers teaching higher year levels etc/vce? or does that not matter/no consideration etc. Another thing is, if I go primary, can I request the older children or is it more, you get what you get. Oh, and maybe one that'll get the pitch forks out (sorry not trying to start a war), is one "easier" than the other?
