Hardwire dashcam connection stopped working
So I've had this Focuway for about a year connected with the hardwire kit:

Had no issues aside from a couple times the cam just wouldn't start with the car and a simple power cycle fixed that each time. But yesterday it happened and the camera continues to not power on after numerous power cycles.
The camera powers on when I plug it into the cigarette lighter which tells me the camera is fine. I've inspected all the fuses and don't see any issues, and the other accessories using the fuse taps are working properly which tells me the fuse tap is fine. I don't have a multimeter but the car battery is brand new installed less than a month ago and the car was just serviced a few days ago and obviously battery voltage is part of the usual inspection. Finally, if I jiggle/disconnect and reconnect the ground wire to the metal bolt I've got it on while the car is running then I see the typical tiny spark which tells me power is flowing.
Based on all that am I correct to assume the issue lies between the fuse tap and the camera - potentially the low voltage cutoff/regulator thing is defective?
