[Garmin 67w] I'm sorry for your loss
He lost a ladder a bit down the road too lmfao
[Viofo A229 Duo] What was this guy's intention?
Ford Fusion (non sport). Not sure if he/she wanted to try to screw with me while I'm minding my own business? Or if generally a bad driver. Followed me for a while too after I passed at the end until I took an exit to get away from them. They were even in the right lane trying to get through traffic after I passed, trying to follow. I don't know if he was trying to race me or something because I drive a WRX? Almost seemed like he was trying to trap me.
Do yall think this would work lol?
Just saw this on Temu $15 sounds pretty crazy lol
[Blueskysea B4K] Pile of debris on I-95S. Car slammed on the brakes faster than I could have.
Even with a proper following distance, sometimes you just can't react fast enough. For those times, there's automatic emergency braking! The "owner" of the trash dump was nowhere to be found for the next several miles so I'm sure they're totally unaware.
295 South is apparently a drag strip now. Dashcam shows 150mph Stinger vs Scat Pack
Friend sent me this dashcam clip from 295 South. Kia Stinger and Dodge Challenger Scat Pack racing, with the speed showing around 150mph.
I’m a car person too, but doing this on a public highway is insane. One bad lane change, one distracted driver, one tire issue, and suddenly random people are paying for someone else’s ego pull.
Jacksonville drivers already act like merging is rocket science. We don’t need 150mph highway racing on top of it.
[VIOFO A119 Mini2] pit maneuver by milk truck - quebec, montreal south shore
glad they kept it under control - wrong time on video
[Pormido D50] I guarantee this did not happen to you today.
Went to leave work to go home and found 6 pairs of "new" khaki pants from goodwill draped over my passenger mirror. 6 identical, still on the hangar, size 32 waist (not my size) clean and pressed khakis with the tags on them.
30 mins of going through my cam footage found this.
WHAT THE HELL?
Which dashcam should I buy under 8k
Need a good dash cam front and back under 8k.
Which SD card?
I purchased a Japanese import car that has this dashcam in it. I purchased a SanDisk 64 high availability card and tried that - but it errors. Should I assume that it needs a 32 card? Any help appreciated!
Update: I’ve returned the 64 GB card and am now looking for advice about which card I should buy.
New top goose 4 channel user
Just bought a top goose 4 channel dash cam. Manual says that the maximum size sd card is 256g. Is anyone aware if there is or could be a firmware update that would allow the use of a larger sd card?
[70mai Pro] Cut Off and Brake-Checked. Missing Video Due to Horn / SD Card.
2 things here.
- I still can't ID this NC license plate. If anyone can, great.
- Parts of the video are missing. Due to some bug the dashcam would stop recording whenever the horn was on, thus all the close-ups of the Kia coming to a complete stop in front of me, in the left lane, are lost. I replaced the SanDisk SD card with a Samsung and that resolved the issue but have since replaced the camera due to mistrust.
Background...
We were in the left lane to make a left turn and could go no faster than the car in front of us. We typically turn on our turn signal at about the overpass, as people get impatient there at the top of the hill after being blocked by trucks and slow traffic going up.
I get it, it's 5pm and you just want to get home and slow people are blocking you.
The Kia driver took his frustration out on us (minivan... we get no respect lol) and came to a complete stop in the passing lane right before our left turn.
Edit... spelling
Edit 2.... please note the time stamp
Edit 3.... Not lane camping. Had to turn left. We had a car infront of us. If I was in the right lane I would have not been able to move into the left lane due to the long line of cars in the left lane. I'm sorry they wanted to go faster, I really am, but I need to turn left as well.
Edit 4... Listen it's weird how that road works. Often there is a non stop line of cars in the left lane that you can't cut into and then the road does left and then a right where the bridge is and everyone who isn't a local slows down right there. It's a serious pain the ass to turn left there and you need to plan ahead or you won't have space to move over. It's busy and it doesn't always work out they way it should. There's no winning for this left turn. It's lose / lose, especially if traffic is 2 wide across. It sucks for everyone involved.
But since everyone here thinks they know better, here's what I think about this sub
a. Your reading comprehension sucks.
b. Your attention to detail or attention span sucks.
c. This sub is full of self righteous, victim blamers that fill in their own make-believe context regardless of what I say.
Need dashcam recommendations around $150
Just bought the ROVE R2-4K Dual dashcam and honestly really disappointed. Thinking of returning it and looking for your recommendations around $150 budget.
Here’s what I experienced:
📱 App Problems:
• Every single time I open the app it asks me to connect to Rove WiFi
• Constantly disconnecting and asking to reconnect to the camera
• Keeps asking for the WiFi password repeatedly — very frustrating
• Just viewing a simple video clip is a huge process
• Overall very clunky and not user friendly at all
📷 Video Quality Problems:
• Marketed as 4K but footage looks really soft and hazy
• Took a screenshot on a bright sunny day at highway speed with a truck right in front of me — license plate completely unreadable
• Heavy windshield glare washing out footage
• Sky totally blown out — HDR doesn’t seem to work properly
• Road markings blurry even in perfect daylight conditions
• Honestly looks worse than some 1080p cameras I’ve seen before
👶 Why this matters to me:
I have a newborn baby at home and just want a dashcam I can actually trust. Something that gives me clear footage in case anything happens — day or night. Easy app is a must because I don’t have time for complicated setups with a baby at home!
What I need:
✅ Clear footage — can actually read license plates
✅ Good night vision
✅ Simple, easy app — no constant WiFi reconnection hassle
✅ Reliable front + rear coverage
✅ Budget around $150
Wireless dashcams
Are there any vendors that make a front and back dashcam that connect wirelessly to one another? I drive a leased vehicle and don't want to be taking it apart to install a wire from the front to the back or damage anything in the process.
Thanks,
[Vantrue N5] This is why I still look both ways on a green light.
[Fitcamx] Wrong way driver
Long Island New York, South Service road. Gotta love wrong way drivers, and just a side note about driving in the left lane, my intention was to make a left turn about 600 feet further up the road.
