Has jaw surgery definitively fixed your snoring/OSA?
Hi all, new lurker here.
Brief history:
38 year old female.
2 rounds of traditional braces, one as a child, once in my 30s.
Been a mouth breather my whole life, and my mouth rests in an open position and I have to think about closing it. I snore loudly. Normal BMI.
Tonsils and adenoids out. Septoplasty and polyp removals x 2.
Had a sleep study in 2016 which was negative.
Could jaw surgery really stop the snoring and mouth breathing? I can’t believe none of the orthodontists in my life ever discussed my airway and skeletal issues with me.
Finally out of the blur of having babies and don’t want to snore the rest of my life and potentially develop OSA.
Where to start? I’m planning a consult with Dr. Eren Pera as I live in the region.
