New rims/tires

Looks much better with the titanium rims. Thing is beast but I’m still fine tuning the suspension so it’s not just bottomed out while I’m trailing it. I hate it when it’s just slamming off the rocks with no recoil. I had to double the springs and I put 40 wt oil in the hot racing shocks that to my surprise were empty when I opened them. Love working on these things.

Bronco out on the trail today

Still needs some fine tuning but not bad for the first run of the new build. It’s the traxxas brushless motor with stock ratio metal gears which is why it makes that cogging noise sometimes, any fixes for that besides a different motor?

Finishing touches on the new trail rig

Finally almost ready for the trails! Very excited to see what it has and if I need to make any changes. First scratches will be a little rough but it’s just paint.

Hi guys, does anyone know what would cause this bearing to get destroyed like this? During a test drive I noticed the front axle was not working properly I started to take it apart and noticed the bearing in the c-hub was destroyed so I replaced it and thought it was just a bad bearing and I was wrong. I started to take the front axle apart to see what was going on in the front diff and that was fine. Everything spins as it should until I screw the steering knuckle to the c-hub. I’m thinking a bent axle is causing this and maybe that’s why it shredded that bearing? Not really sure what would cause this as it is my first ground up build. Any help would be much appreciated so I can get this rig on the trails!

The addiction continues, TRX4m #7 almost complete. First one I’ve built from the ground up, will use this mostly on hiking trails. I would like to do a custom paint job on this one as well, open to recommendations, I like the way it looks in white as is so maybe I’ll just paint the underbody black like I usually do and hit it with a nice white top coat. If anyone had painted one of these white I’m open to recommendations. Thanks for any recommendations.

New Jersey, going into Lyndhurst across the Passaic River. Amazing that this bridge is still in decent shape.
