Neue Beadlock

Quick flics

Got a new body on the TRX4M and got it trimmed up as much as I could to make it work, also added some stickers 😂 I’m kinda trying to match the vibe of my Runner I drive every day (Last Photo)

Wheels to big!

I put some new wheels on my TRX4M Defender and they are rubbing the fenders. I cut up the whole body but I really like the Defender body, anyone got some tips?

How much is my lot worth? Getting out of the hobby and looking to sell.

I have a few more pics but just 2 trucks, ones fully built and brushless, the other has some injora stuff and I have a bunch of tools, parts and accessories also included. I'm located in Northwest Indiana if anyone is somewhat local and wants to pickup and buy it or else I could see how much shipping would be. Just never use them anymore so they're just sitting.

My Oppai Factory Chassis arrived this morning! 😍

And I couldn’t help myself but start building it up! I broke my last ir40 body and thought if I have to replace I have to upgrade!

Already it’s looking like it fits SO much nicer than the injora carbon

INJ4M Camel Trophy Defender Build (Almost Done)

All Injora parts except for the body, wheels (Speelik plastic), tires (Canyon Trails), and radio/receiver (Turbo Racing P32). 53 mm shocks. I need to get some Camel Trophy stickers and a few scale accessories. I should have went with a brushless system, was trying to save money (low speed transmission). I partially messed up painting and need to redo the front driver side by the headlight; I did not sand it well enough and the paint chipped off. The Injora planetary axles are wide! I guess I wasn't thinking it all through fully. 57mm tires seem to small, 63mm tires to big, I like the 60mm size but not lots of options in that size it seems.

Two other things, I have the Injora straight stainless-steel links, I used two 1mm spacers on the upper links, front and back to tilt the axle up for better drive shaft clearance. Use only one spacer on the front upper links, if you use two, the axle and servo get tilted so far forward, the servo hits the chassis is certain situations. Second, the tires barely hit the shocks at full turn. I could space the wheels out further, but it looks retarded with wheels that wide in my opinion.

Question, should I paint the wheels yellow like the real Camel Trophy Defender or leave them black?

M18 Two speed

Hey peeps!

Looking at building a MB18 from scratch and I was wondering what people have done 2 speed box wise.

I’ve considered the meus transmission but think it’s heavier than I’d like (or at least higher cg)

Does anyone have experience with the MB18 kit and the RCAwd 2 speed kit? Unsure if it’ll fit in the cage.

Also considering the Traxxas 2speed but concerned about the plastic gears (has anyone used a generic servo setup for this? Rather than the Traxxes shift servo.

For those against the two speed, I’d like to build a basher / crawler (u4 inspired). Any suggestions for drivetrain if going single speed? I did consider maybe something along the lines of 3500-4000kv brushless with around the 15:1 ratio mark but unsure if it’ll be quick enough (would like to jump it and do dumb things with it) but still have decent slow craw control.

Would probably still go around the 3500kv range for the two speed setups.

Need advice on silicon tire inserts

I got the injora green soft silicon tire inserts for my rig which is about 900 grams and I trimmed every other baffle on the outer layer and they still seem to be too hard, should I trim the second layer too or should I just get the super soft rubber?

new build + airbrush paint questions

this is the newest version of my build money pit (i know super creative name lol) i’m very happy with it but i have some questions about paint for both this and my scx30. for this i was wondering what type of paint i should use, i want to match it to my real jeep which this is based very loosely off of (shown in pictures) but i dont know where to start, its a 3d printed body so a bit flexible but mostly ridgid, i have sanding instructions from the body manufacturer (flub rc) so i have that down just dont know about the actual paint i should use for my airbrush. then for my scx30 i have the proline coyote body and im wondering if i need to use any sort of special paint since that body moves and flexes so much.

Any help is massively appreciated and im glad to provide more info on anything.

Brushless system upgrade

I’m looking into upgrading to a brushless system for my trx4m, do I stick with the Traxxas brushless system or do I look into injora or other brands?

Unimog 5023 Expedition on the TRX4M

I recently stumbled over this fine expedition body that fits a Unimog 5023 body on Thingiverse, and took the prototype to the trail for some real world testing before painting. Looks great already! Should I go for a fire engine build, or an expedition camper?

Bronco is way to high

Okey , im new in this hobby and definitely need some help.

I have some Injora 62mm and -3,78mm offset wheels and the 59mm Injora shocks ,the frame is also Injora .

I think it looks horrible, but in the front I can’t use different holes for the spring because it would rub extrem against the springs (even with smaller tires)

I’m open for everything that can help, and also it fells like it would tip over very easily to the side (passenger side more than driver)

High clearance defender bumpers

Made some brass, high clearance bumpers for the defender. Painted with uv cure gel nail stuff, seems pretty durable so far.

Also trimmed the wheel arches a tad which helps alot on the rocks.

Really pleased with these little mods they really help with clearance.

Got a hobbywing mini24 combo system coming for this but otherwise I'm really pleased with it's performance considering it's pretty basic and a top heavy body. The maverix help alot.
