A buddy printed me a Comp chassis, i planned on doing a 2nd build. Wound up tearing down my Tarantula and here we are lol. Alot better breakover but lost a slight bit of COG. Its a give and take forsure. Excited for my carrier to show up so i can stretch this thing out!

This a build I am developing actively. I have designed and prototyped a custom frame, and I am on v4. This design integrates a 20 degree angle of the skid plate and transmission, and increases length. My plan is to make it our of fiberglass or g10 diy, and maybe eventually market it. I have also developed a servo mount that goes side by side to the battery. The battery would be strapped down or Velcro and that would push more weight over the axle and remove space from the main enclosure. The goal is a 60 to 40 weight bias front to rear, and I believe this will accomplish this if not more. I have counter balanced the mount and so the mounting point is in the middle of the mass, so the bias side to side stays equal. I will be upgrading to brushless, going with the Furitek Mini Komodo Unity 2n1 since it’s a combo that saves space and money. Then I will be getting a radio link transmitter and recievr. I will also be purchasing M2 threads so I can make my own links that accommodate for the extended frame . I will also be making a modified drive shaft that has a hanging bearing or intermediate step as to make the drive shaft angle not as severe. This project is decently budget aswell so far coming in at 180 plus or minus a bit. I wanted to share and croud source some feedback before moving ahead, as there are a lot of offly smart people on this sub. I am open to all criticism and feedback. I wanna improve!

Oh also I will likely stage it out and get the HardparkRC outlaw 1.3 or even 1.8 wheels at some stage, simply a money thing. And the roof and other components like stabilizer and such will be 3d printed and are not modeled in Fusion yet.

Hey im looking to paint and weather, rust and petting my trx4m defender( or what used to be) I am an avid painter so I have brushes and air brushing as well. What is the best paint to use as far as acrylic, model paint or airbrush paint, as well as what people feel the best application would be. Pics are of it now after most upgrades are done.

I run a small YouTube channel and am considering grabbing this motor to make a video about and upgrade my F150 High Trail with it. I’ve read mixed reviews and not sure if it’s even worth it. I currently have a stock setup but with the low gear transmission. From what I’ve read a lot of people tend to dislike it with the stock transmission but has anyone actually paired it with the low gear transmission? I honestly think this is where the downfall is and would actually make it into something worth buying if you pair it with the low gears. Any advice or experience with this?

Before I finished the obstacle I did some testing with a 1/10 and 1/18 rigs. I tried to capture different angles to showcase the challenges presented to the different rigs depending on scale.

I'm having a hell of a time getting the back of the wheel to seat and l'm wondering if these tires and wheels are incompatible.

What options do I have if I wanna convert one of my TRX4Ms into a 6x6. I thought I saw a lot from MEUS but I don’t see it on their site anymore. I’m looking at getting new axles for another so I wanna use the old axle for a 6x6 build. PFA

Really happy with how the build has transformed with the new custom aluminium panels. I also ditched the clingons for the maverix and sorted out the birds nest of wires by cutting servo cables to lengh.

Shocks got a little sticky, hence the lean. All good now that it’s dry! They’re the Treal ones btw.
