I have an interview next week for a Correctional Officer position in Manitoba Correctional services and would appreciate advice from anyone who has gone through the hiring process or currently works in corrections.

What types of interview questions should I expect?

Are there specific scenarios, competencies, or policies I should prepare for? What qualities are interviewers looking for most in new correctional officers?

If you’ve been through the interview recently, what do you wish you had prepared for beforehand?

Any tips on answering questions about conflict resolution, inmate interactions, teamwork, professionalism, ethics, use of force, or stress management would be greatly appreciated.

I have work experience working as a security officer (3yrs) and warehouse worker.
