I’m 20 yrs old and still have my wisdom teeth. I’ve been experiencing some pain and soreness in the back of my jaw the past few days. I figured it would go away on its own, and im in the middle of final exams, so I don’t have time to deal with it right now.
I had a dentist appointment on Monday and thought that if it was something serious, my dentist would notice and say something, but they did not, so I didn’t mention it either. A day later it’s still painful and I notice what appears to be a hole in the gum behind my molar.
I’m really scared. Does this mean I need to get my wisdom teeth removed? What happens if I don’t/can’t do that? If it’s not my wisdom teeth, what else could it be? please help!! :(
(Edit: I’ve never drank, smoked, or vaped. I have depression but am pretty good with my routines, and brush twice daily, flossing too when I remember to.)
