I am a planner. I had a birthday party scheduled in August, I notified my guests in March. I’m that kind of person. I am having my first baby. The baby shower is scheduled in may, I notified people in December. I’ve had three friends and two family members say they can’t make it. Each of them have apologized and asked if we can meet up another weekend. I am 8 months pregnant (first baby btw). If I told them last minute I’d understand. But I told them so long ago. It just hurts. I don’t want to see them. It wasn’t even about the presents; thankfully my husband and I can afford what we need. I just wanted their presence.
