longtime lurker! Size 7 ring, 2 ct cushion cut, 2 old mine cut and 2 round brilliant side stones

setting and 4 side stones were his grandmothers!

I am absolutely so happy with my engagement ring, we used my fiancés grandma’s engagement ring
replaced the middle diamond with a square cushion cut brilliant stone

We worked with a local jeweler but my question is, the dimension of my diamond with an almost perfect square 6.99x6.49. With that said, we initially wanted the stone turned sideways so the longer side is horizontal (east to west), but they made the ring sit longer vertical (north to south)

My question is: is it worth sending back to the jeweler? Which would look better? It’s the ~slightest~ difference

Does it look vertical to the eye?
