Got engaged on my wedding day!!

Still over the moon! 😭 my partner of 10 years and I wanted to do something special for our 10th anniversary so we decided to do a court wedding (this was only decided about a month ago) no engagement whatsoever, I just know we’re committed. The day of our wedding I was cleaning the bathroom, scrubbing the toilet to be specific, when he grabbed me and brought me to the living room (I could sill remember my face was sweaty with frizzy hair while wearing this very unflattering oversized shirt— He hugged me and he started crying, I freaked out and got really confused— He then got on one knee to ask me to marry him. 😭😭 I just started crying because I wasn’t expecting it whatsoever. I work at a warehouse and my job could be very vigorous so I wanted a rugged band.

Ring size - 4.25
Natural diamond- 1.7 ct
Color H with IF clarity
GIA certified
Fluorescence- None

Please don’t come at me because it is a natural diamond. He got it from James Allen and it is listed online that their diamonds are conflict free resourced.

Oore Jewelry never misses 😍

On a side note… how do y’all get good photos of your ring? I feel like I cannot capture all of its beautiful for the life of me!

Obsessed 🩷

I’ve been a daze of happiness for the last few days. My fiancé designed my ring and it’s an absolute dream. (The ruby underneath is his birthstone!)

I can’t wait to marry my best friend 🥹

Obsessed with my upgraded engagement ring

It is a 2 carat Montana sapphire with natural diamond halo! Blend of both modern and vintage which I absolutely love. I am trying to find a band to go with it.

My gorgeous ring set! But was the wedding band the right choice?

I got married earlier this month and have the engagement ring and ring set of my dreams! Well almost... I'm now agonising on whether the gold wedding band was the right choice. Sometimes I look at my hand in adoration of how gorgeous it is... But sometimes am looking down and feeling like it just isn't me.

For context, my husband and I designed and sourced our rings together from a local designer. Fully custom. I am a silver wearer and neutral-cool toned. Always thought I would have a platinum wedding set. The switch to the gold wedding band was a very late stage pivot, my husband really liked the gold on me and I was surprised how soft and luxurious it looked vs the high contrast platinum (when trying sample bands on that were beside diamond settings). And he has a gold band and I like that it matches his. He's extremely warm toned so for him it needed to be gold.

We had a long e-ring design process and fast engagement... So I had to choose the metal colour for the wedding band before I wore the final engagement ring. And now that I can see them both I worry that the gold ering clashes too much with my skin and also takes away from the sapphire in the ering. Without the gold it doesn't include my husband... But the pure platinum would feel more like me! I'm letting myself get used to being a silver AND gold girl and suspect I'm overthinking it.

So please help! Did I make the right choice with gold? Or do you think platinum is much better? I love the gold in theory and love how premium it looks (more than platinum) but need to hear from others whether it works or not! Can't stop overthinking it.

Pics 1-2: my ering on its own

Pics 3-4: my wedding set, with gold (real photos)

Pics 5-6: set if it were platinum (used AI to change band colour)

And details for the curious, rings made in Sydney. It's an Australian parti sapphire with half moon diamond side stones, platinum band with gold setting. Designer is based in Melbourne.

3 mm vs 2.5 mm wedding band

I bought a 3 mm wedding band, but now having second thoughts and wondering if I should have gone with a thinner 2.5 mm band instead 😭 The jeweler said they can shave down the width for free. My engagement ring is 2 mm and I want something that is thicker for the wedding band. I’m not sure if 3 mm is too thick and overpowering the engagement ring?

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

in love with my ring 🧚

designed this ring together with my partner and i couldn’t be more happier with how it turned out! this is a 2.5 carat pear diamond with side stones, 14k gold band on a 4.5 finger : )

Thought I would share.

I got engaged in 2024 (after eight years together), but wanted to share my ring. I haven't worn it in a while (back-to-back pregnancies). It almost fits again. Until then, I will just keep admiring it.

The specs I remember are 3.8 carats, mined. Ring size 4.25. He designed it and proposed in St. Lucia.

Over the moon with how my ring turned out!

My fiancé knew I wanted something a little different so we went to a wholesale jeweler in Nola where we were able to really create what I envisioned from scratch! Double halo setting, split shank, with a color changing sapphire - first halo is cognac diamonds. I think it turned out lovely with the transition from gold to silver. I am a size 4 so I was worried it would look too big but I think it fits perfectly. We couldn’t be more happy with it! ❤️

Forever admiring my custom made emerald cut, bezel set engagement ring. The engraving on the band and tulip basket are the cherry on top! My fiancé did so good

His 30th anniversary/wedding ring came in!

I posted the ring he got me a couple weeks ago, and many of you wanted to see his when it came in. In a nutshell, the story is that we didn't have rings for the past few years, so for our 30th anniversary we decided to get ourselves new wedding rings.

They were chosen/designed around his and my birthstones, and the number 30. My birthstone - sapphires, and his - diamonds.
So my ring features his birthstone with a 3 carat lab diamond and 30 small diamonds, along with some of my sapphires.

His ring features my birthstone by having 10 sapphires being the center and largest stones, bordered on both sides by 10 diamonds, making the total number of stones 30.

Because we are so happy with the experience of purchasing these rings long distance, not knowing our maker whatsoever, we'd like to give them a reference. They also have excellent reviews (4.9/5 on Google) online.

Our rings were made by Moishy, at MDC Diamonds (www.mdcdiamonds.com) in New York City. My center stone is 3.05 carats, E, VVS2, with IGI certificate, in 14k yellow gold. Channel set blue sapphires, surrounded by 30 lab grown diamonds of E, VS1+ quality. Price: $3500 insured, overnight, signature required delivery by FedEx.

His is 1/2" wide 14k yellow gold, 20 total round diamonds, EF VS1+ plus 10 blue sapphire baguettes, all lab grown. More gold weight in his, price: $4250 delivered by the same method. We were invoiced for both through PayPal; other options may be available. We communicated via WhatsApp.

I wouldn't hesitate to have him/them make any more jewelry we want.

What do you think of this Lab Diamond?

Hi guys,

I am ordering a ring for my soon to be wife, it's a surprise and am just a guy so need all the help I can get :D

I got the IGI report: it's a 5.10ct elongated oval, E color, VVS2 clarity, Polish & Symmetry are Excellent, and there is no Fluorescence. On paper, it looks incredible.

But what do you think of this video the jeweller sent me? They are pretty reputable (been around for over 18 years). I love that there is very little bow-tie, but do you guys think it's sparkly enough?

I have seen other stones from other suppliers that look a bit more crisp and shiny. I’m happy about the lack of a dark bow-tie, but I'm worried the overall brilliance looks a bit uniform or soft. Do you think it's just the diffused overhead studio lighting washing it out, or is the cut performance lacking? Or am I being too picky and it looks great?

Showing again now with my wedding band!!

I’m still obsessed with my ring, but even more so when paired with my wedding band. I went for a gold knife edge band - my jeweler actually said he never made a knife edge band for a wedding ring, but I saw them online and thought it would look cool. I’m so happy with it - I think it made my very classic oval with tapered baguettes look more modern and architectural.

Anyway I’m just so excited about it and don’t have anyone to share my excitement with so sharing here!
