After I have this teal sapphire rough cut and sent to her, she commented why I keep buying these dark looking stones. Her opinion changed 180 degrees after she tried it on her own hands though. 😝

We are absolutely obsessed!! Both stones are sapphires from Misfit Sapphires. We worked with a local jeweler to design rings that match our styles and personalities but look so cute together.

Hey all, my partner is getting me a peach sapphire set in rose gold, but we are having trouble finding sapphires of the correct color. I keep seeing pics of pale peach sapphires (which I love), but the pics from the jeweler are SO saturated with color. I'm wondering if the pics I'm seeing are of the same sapphires just in different lighting. Examples of pics I'm seeing attached.

My fiancé and I did things backwards - got engaged and then got the ring. We've been together nearly 6 years, so I was more on board with this plan anyway than waiting to afford a ring, when we knew we wanted to be married. SO GLAD we did it this way, because I got to design my own ring!!

2.5 carat lab-grown teal sapphire with moissanite side stones. The tulip setting is my favorite part! I have a size 4.75 finger, so the stone looks massive on me, but I love it so much. I feel like I ripped it straight out of one of my fantasy books.

In love with my ring (and my fiancé of course). 0.90 carat round teal green Montana sapphire, small lab diamond side stones, half bezel setting, split shank, ring size 6.25. I love the side profile and how the stone changes color in different lights (my favorite is overcast outdoor light when it matches glacial lake color). We custom designed the ring together with a local jeweler in Bozeman (shoutout to Carsyn!), loosely based on a ring I had tried on there, and sourced our own sapphire from another jeweler.

Montana is our whole story. Together almost 10 years, my fiancé proposed on a pass at sunset in the backcountry of Glacier National Park on our 29th backpacking trip together (our 6th in Glacier). It was so special 😍

Well after so much anxiety around it, I can say I love it and I want to design my wedding ring as well. I was still so surprised because I hadn’t seen the stone set and the colors kept changing through out the day.

We were on a 15 mile hike so please ignore my swollen fingers 😂😂

Hello! Long time lurker, first time poster. I just had a question because my fiancé got a jeweller to custom design this gorgeous natural sapphire ring with my mother’s antique diamonds/family gold from Italy, and I am obsessed with it. I was just taking a look at my ring in the sunlight and since it’s quite transparent from certain angles, I wasn’t sure at all whether or not the stone would be prone to cloudiness or looking almost murky over time?? And if there is a way to avoid this?? I am not familiar with gemstones at ALL but I saw that another poster’s sapphire became cloudy and wasn’t sure if that was just because of the cut (which was beautiful btw) or if this is something that is prone to happen in sapphires. If anyone has any experience with this, I’d love to hear!!

No longer a lurker!! Got my ring made and engaged at one of my favourite places in the world.

Specs are 1.05ct cushion cut pink heated Sri Lankan sapphire, not sure of side diamond specs but they're natural in a marquise and round shape set in a Japanese size 13.5 (jeweller suggested 13 for snug fit but felt a bit too tight for my finger) 18k gold band.

I wish I could also attach a video because the sparkle is to die for, couldn't be happier 🥰💖

I posted on here yesterday and had some really useful comments, so tha k you all very much! I had a few people ask for me to show another idea so I am back here with two choices for you to help me with.

First, a little context. The centre stone is a bi-colour parti sapphire from Australia which is where my partner is from and we both live. I'm a geologist when England, so we went to see different stones and this colour type was one that she fell in love with. Secondly, she has seen both of these styles and loves both. I am simply having trouble choosing between the two. One is gorgeous and elegant, whilst the other is beautiful but more practical. Ideally we have both expressed the desire for this ring to hopefully be passed down for generations so there is that too!

I have also included a photo of the real centre stone for further context.

Just wanted to share because i’m bursting with excitement!! Engaged recently with this custom 3 carat, non heat treated deep teal sapphire!!! It’s so dreamy and changes so much in the light, it’s much greener under artificial light but has the most fun highlights. Couldn’t be more in love!

Hi all, I'm having an engagement ring made for my girlfriend and wanted some opinions. I have a 3.95ct bi-colour sapphire (9.5x7.5x6mm) and am looking at a setting such as the one attached. Do we think it looks a little much? My partner has said over and over that she just wants a ring that has come from me, but I would love some opinions on what I'm thinking about. Thanks in advance!

My fiancé knew I wanted a more gemstone focused ring. He was so nervous that I wouldn’t like it and it is untraditional. Not what I had initially envisioned, but I love it and the fact that he picked it out makes me love it even more.

Hi everyone, might be too late to ask this question but I only discovered this subreddit recently.

A month back I started searching for sapphires for my engagement ring and fell in love with this teal sapphire. Absolutely love how the colour is different under different lighting. The video shows its colour in natural sunlight.

1.04ct unheated teal sapphire, Madagascar
6.09mm length x 5.40mm width
Paid slightly under USD1,100 for it

I’m curious to know if it was a good buy or if I was overcharged by my local jeweller.
