Devastated

A customer is turning this gorgeous handmade locket in FOR SCRAP and I am devastated at the thought of it being melted down, but I can’t really afford to pay $1000+ for it right now :( almost 16g of 14k

Here’s a little rabbit charm I carved from wax and cast in gold and silver

I carved this rabbit from wax, I’ve been working on getting my carvings a little smaller recently. Once I was happy with the rabbit shape I used a scribing pen to add the moon, star and leaf details and then sent it off for casting.

Spinelli show and tell!

Purchased for 15% off! New staple piece I’ll never take off :) I am still debating getting the next size up but I also think it would slip off too easily when it’s not so hot out

A relative gave me her rings

Shes as old as me (from the early 1990s) but still super pretty. The center stone is a 1ct princess cut and it’s made of 14k gold.

Should I buy the middle Swarovski bracelet?

I currently have 2 bracelets. The gold 3 toned one and the multicoloured bracelet. I felt like something was missing so, when I saw the middle bracelet in Swarovski it looked so gorgeous to me.

Do the 3 bracelets work well together? Should I buy it?? I had originally left the bracelet but if it looks good, i might go back.

What should I do?

Stacking bracelet with watch.

M34, I wanted your thoughts on stacking this SS cuff with a watch? Yes or no?

Opal pendant to ring

Found this white Australian opal at local market set as an old pendant. Cleaned it up after removing from the setting and set it into a sterling silver ring. It's nice and big and has great play of color with flashes of gold green pinks and oranges. But what I love most is the brown veins that go through the stone that give it a really organic look.

Wearing my great grandfathers ring

My great grandfather celebrated becoming a citizen of the US in 1924 by getting this ring. I wear it on US holidays to remember him, he died when he was 28. It took me a while to figure out what the ring meant since it didn’t match anyone’s weddings or birthdates. But I found a record of his citizenship through ancestry in July 1924.

New engagement ring rattling

I got engaged recently and can hear a slight rattling noise coming from the center stone (noticed it when I was tapping my fingers on my steering wheel)
I thought bezels were super secure, so I’m super disappointed this is happening already :( I can’t notice any obvious gaps or warping.

Can anyone tell me about this ring? It’s my grandmas who passed away. It’s not magnetic either. Thanks 😊

18k gold scratches easily?

Hi,

I got my grandmothers 18K wedding ring melted into a new wedding ring. This was done by a long-standing jeweler with a good reputation. I have now worn it for only 1 month and it has already quite some scratches and marks on it. I take off my ring during sleep and showers and don’t do physical labour or anything, just normal day-to-day things. It’s not even worn on my dominant hand.

Is it normal for 18K gold to scratch so easily? I’m wondering if the jeweler didn’t add some kind of “protective” layer that rings should have (or something like that , don’t know a lot about jewelry)??

Thanks!

Advice for having a cheap ring recreated?

The only thing I have from my grandmother is a ring she bought from Avon in 1982-1985. As much as I love wearing it, it turns my finger green almost IMMEDIATELY. I would really like to have it recreated with a better material. Even a sterling silver & another CZ. I’m not huge on yellow gold, so maybe even a white gold.

Has anyone had a piece of jewelry replicated that can point me in the right direction as far as what price & process would look like?

Edit to add it’s a size 5.5.

Not expensive, but I love these

So the earrings are from Bangladesh. Clearly not real gems. But I just got them and love them. Second one is from North Macedonia, few years back. From a church that closed , used to be a school also. Vendor outside had this necklace, I love the history, the peace, the seller. I know have to change the chain.. that's pretty much it. Wanted to show some non expensive sweet and ( for me ) important finds.

Fairy necklace 🧚‍♂️

Hi everyone ✨

I’ve been experimenting with handmade jewelry recently and thought I’d share a few pieces I made. I’m curious to know what you think or what kind of designs you’d personally enjoy seeing.

Thanks for taking a look! 💜
