I recently tried carving some patterns into the bottom of a piece of white quartz. At first, I wasn’t sure how the final result would turn out, but I really like how the patterns blend with the crystal.
Hi, I’m Ellis! Long time no see! I’ve been experimenting with resin and natural stones lately, and these little cuties came out of it.
The Corgi and Shiba Inu are made with dreamy purple amethyst, the Schnauzer is made with natural pink opal, and the little bear is made with colorful shell.
I’m really happy with how they turned out! What do you guys think? Are they cute? 😂
I’m already thinking about what little animal I should make next. Any ideas? I’d love to hear your suggestions!
Hi everyone! Our studio recently started cutting two lab diamonds in the shape of Gengar from Pokémon.
We ran into a little challenge during the rough shaping stage. One of the stones had an accident while I was working on the recessed areas between the sharp points on Gengar’s head. This part was extremely difficult to open up, and a mistake during the process caused a large crack to spread through the left side of the body.
I’ll need to be extremely, extremely careful with the next cutting steps on this one and hopefully save it. At the same time, I’ll continue working on the other Gengar and hopefully bring both of them to life!
