(A follow up to my previous post) 3 months later, and she's finally done! An exceptionally BIG thank you to Romy and LGG for once again delivering solid work and really going the extra mile* this time :)
*Bit of a backstory - I originally had a local jeweller make a setting for this stone. Without going into too much detail, the ring looked very nice on pick up, but that same day I noticed that part of the underside of the band was hollowed out (to save on material costs, I presume?). (In all fairness, this WAS reflected in the CAD, but the particular colour scheme used on the CAD made it very hard to make out, and it wasn't flagged to me.) In any case, the hollow part of the band made the ring uncomfortable to wear (and I got ghosted when I asked about possibly remaking it...), and I contacted Romy to ask about my options.
At first, I wanted to have LGG make a semi-mount and get the stone reset locally; however, I eventually decided to send the entire ring to LGG as (1) this would allow them to take the stone out of the setting for more accurate measurements, and (2) the gold of the old setting could be recycled into the new ring (Romy kindly offered a discount in respect of the saved material costs). I shipped the ring to China by international post using the address provided by Romy, and after it had arrived safely, Romy arranged for a new CAD to be made. The process after that went very smoothly, and the new and improved ring made it back to me soon after :D
Stone specs: 3.06ct cushion modified brilliant, fancy deep blue, VS2. HPHT, as-grown. Ring size HK 9.25. (IGI cert says this stone comes from Ukraine)
(Swipe right for bonus kitty pic! this is more often the colour I see, because fancy deep blue is really quite dark)
Specs:
**•** Center stone: 1.00ct natural oval cut emerald, premium quality
**•** Metal: 14k gold, available in rose, white, or yellow gold
**•** Fully handcrafted, custom design
The vine and leaf detailing wraps around the band and up toward the stone — wanted something that felt organic rather than a standard prong setting. Curious what people think of the emerald with this kind of setting, and which gold tone you’re drawn to.
In love with my stack! 3 carat lab padparadscha sapphire. Diamonds at the bottom. All my bands are different gold purities 9k at the bottom, twisted band is 10k and top two rings are 14k.
Always loved my Dad’s star sapphire. Wasn’t a fan of the white gold. Had the stone reset in 18k yellow gold, and added a ruby stacking ring for my birthstone.
I made this ring as a tribute to my daughter. The color transitions in this bi-color tourmaline reminded me of the sky outside the window when I would rock her to sleep as a baby.
Just wanted to share the piece because I thought some of you might appreciate the design.
I want to start off by saying I love all rings! But if love to see what everyone has that is considered quirky, unconventional, unique, etc!
Wide bands will always have me wondering if the stacking helps with the appearance or is just too much for the finger.
In this case, it already has enough weight that it would look good all on its own, although it would also be good to base a mix of widths in a stack.
What about you? Would you stack it or keep it alone?

I’m obsessed with how blindingly shiny this pair is, but I can’t decide if a full eternity band steals the spotlight from the center stone or complements it perfectly
A round brilliant center stone in a 4-prong setting with a pave band, stacked next to a matching shared-prong eternity ring.
For those who have a similar stack: do you wear your eternity band daily, or do you find yourselves swapping it out for a plain metal band on low-key days? Would love to hear your experiences!
I’ve been looking at champagne/warm coloured antique and old mine cut diamonds a lot online but they’re often shown loose and in fancy studio lighting. I’d love to see how your diamond looks in a ring in real life. Thank you!
He knew I wanted something a little different. 💙 I gave him ideas & this is what he had made for me. I love it so much. The color changes in different lighting - it may appear dark blue, teal, green, or purple. He did so good. ✨
Edited to add: Ring is a size 8, 10 karat rose gold 10x5 MM marquise floral accented ring. I believe the stone is a lab grown alexandrite.
Got one of the newer Petite Modern Renaissance Color Rings in the ruby color-way.
Haven’t decided what finger to put wear it on regularly (luckily my fingers are similar sizes, so I can mix and match) , but just stacked it with my cable edge since that is what I was wearing today. I think it’s pretty cool for a nice little pop of color.

Je souhaite faire une mise à jour de ma bague mais je suis partagée entre ajouter un halo ou un pavage.
J’ai un solitaire simple et le modèle avec pavage me plaît mais en même temps je me dis pourquoi pas un halo sans pavage.
While I typically find myself drawn to simpler bands with big center stones, the details that this particular band possesses help to make it feel a little bit more vintage. Then again, there is already a lot going on in the area of the center stone. Do you stick with this pairing, or choose something cleaner for the band?
Thinking about getting a pink marquise for my 10th anniversary. Will I ever get tired of it, should I do pink side stones instead?
