Wearing my fine jewelry to the boring places

Some coworkers wonder why I dress up or wear my nicer pieces to office. If I am going to spend half my life here at work, might as well do it all dolled up.

Today’s stack featuring emeralds and a paper clip necklace.

Is this ear stack too much for a night out? And does it look cohesive?

I don’t want it to look like I just wore everything I own.

Didn’t have a charm connector, so I used a hoop earring instead.

The pearl charm is also from an earring.

In an attempt to get more wear out of my jewelry, I wore this ruby necklace to work.

Natural rubies, set in 22k yellow gold. It’s very light weight and I absolutely love how it looks on my skin tone.

Coworker did comment on how it was too much for work, but I think the finer pieces can also use some vitamin D.

Turns out, I do have a type.

Added a new collar(?) necklace to my collection.

The first one is in 18k yellow and white gold with diamonds. It came with earrings but they are not pictured here. The photo was from the store so the necklace still had the tag.

The second is also 18k yellow gold. It’s an omega/snake hybrid and can also be work on the wrist.

A suede tote bag I made recently

Used the Trader Joe’s tote as a reference which is what my husband typically uses when we travel. I wanted to make a refined version of it. It has one external pocket and one internal pocket. Length of the handles is customized so that the bag doesn’t touch the ground when held by the handles.

It is fully hand stitched and turned out to be a huge project simply because of the number of stitches which were close to 1600. I used Janus calf suede for the top half and dyed veg tanned leather for the base and the handles. I dyed the leather at home so it’s definitely not perfect.

Purely a labor of love and was super happy when I finished it.

Sharing my customized east west oval pendant(with yellow diamond). Thanks to Elon!

This is a 1.5ct yellow diamond, set in 18k yellow gold. Elon was such a pleasure to work with, he was super responsive, very helpful and managed to get this to me before my birthday.
