Best way to maximize profit on sterling silver jewelry

My father's long-time girlfriend recently passed away and he's going to be losing the house they both lived in soon. I'm helping him get as much money together as I can and he has a few things of hers that might be worth just a bit. I currently have about 40 sterling silver rings that are in good shape. Most of them are not designer rings but there are a few with marks, generally for QVC, Premier Designs, etc. level. I know these aren't worth a ton but I want to get as much money out of them as I can. I sell costume jewelry on Facebook as a hobby right now but I'm not sure the best way to go about selling these sterling silver rings. I did find one gold ring that might be worth a couple hundred, though I need to test it to make sure it's actually gold. Any help would be appreciated.

Lion of England milk glass

Does anyone know any details about this guy? I can't find much information. It does have the ring of fire in the sunlight.

Traumatic Euthanasia

This past Monday we had to put our cat Tank to sleep. He was 18 and was in kidney failure. The treatments weren't working so we decided to let him go, since he was mostly just sitting around uncomfortably. Tank was always very shy and skittish. He didn't like strangers and didn't even really feel comfortable around anyone except me. He loved me the most and was my soul cat. Until he got sick, he would sleep pressed against me in bed all night and would try to sit with me all day when I was working. I really miss that since he stopped doing that a month or two before he died.

Anyway, we scheduled an at home appointment because we knew it would be awful to try and take him to the vet. Our dog was put to sleep a couple of weeks ago but she was friendly and loved going to the vet. I sat with Tank all day, fed him lots of chicken, and then the doctor showed up. He was very nice and he explained everything that was going to happen.

I had Tank on my lap and then it was time to do the initial injection. The vet had to grab him by the scruff to give him the shot. Unfortunately, Tank did not enjoy that. He hissed a few times and even bit my arm pretty hard. He got the shot done and then crawled back into my lap but he was asleep basically immediately. We proceeded with the final shot and that was that.

Now I can't stop thinking about how scared he was. His last memories are of me letting a stranger hurt him. I don't even know how long he was aware after the first shot. It seemed like he went unconscious pretty quickly. So I don't know if he even registered that I was there. The idea of him being hurt and scared, thinking I was betraying him, is the absolute worst. My dog Topaz's death was also awful but she wasn't scared, she got to see the vets, and she fell asleep slowly. I felt like that went well and we had enough time to say goodbye. I just feel like Tank's death was awful. We had him for his entire life but that's his last memory.

Elgin Watch

I have a vintage Elgin ladies watch made of 18kt white gold. The gears turn but it's not currently working. The jewelry shop thought the rocks are probably not diamonds but couldn't be sure since it was dirty. How much is this worth and is it worth it to try to find a buyer or should I scrap it. It's very pretty but I'm not into watches.

Homeless at 70

My father is going to be homeless at any point. He's lived with his girlfriend for at least 20 years but she recently died. The family is sending the home into foreclosure and will be turning off the utilities. My father doesn't have any legal standing. So I'm trying to find somewhere for him to go immediately and also more permanently. He is 70 & gets $800 a month through social security. He's not able to work. He currently lives in Felton, Kent County and he needs to stay in the state so that he won't lose his current insurance. We've already applied to all of the government programs, as far as I know. Thanks in advance!

Identity Hen on Nest?

I'm not sure who made this hen on nest. It doesn't have any markings and the tail is a different shape from the ones I've usually seen. It's been in storage for years so I know it's not a recent reproduction.

Jewelry Valuation

I have a small collection of vintage and antique jewelry, though much of it is costume. I want to have it looked at to see what each is worth / made of but I don't want a proper appraisal at this point. Most places will only look at it if you're selling it to them or if you're paying for legal appraisal. Any idea where I could get this done? I'm willing to pay a small amount, like an hourly set price.

Illegible Mark on Filigree Bracelet

I'm having a terrible time reading this. This is the best I can get with my phone. It's a long shot but can anyone read it? It's a silver colored bracelet that could be up to a hundred years old.

Camphor Glass?

What is this piece? It's from a family member that was given to me years and years ago. It's possible that it's as old as the early 1900s, just based on where / who is came from. All I know is that it's not magnetic and I don't see any sort of markings.
