Potentially Georgian/Victorian ring? Does anyone have any insight?

I am currently located in GA in the USA but I am British and this ring came from my mother in the uk. Sussex to be more specific but I know my grandmother was born in London. I inherited this family ring which I absolutely adore. As far as I know it was passed down to my mother by her mother and it had been passed down to her before that but we don’t really know how old it is or how many more times it had been passed down. I have no intention of selling it. It fits me absolutely perfectly and I am extremely sentimental about family heirlooms so this will be staying with me and passed down to my daughter eventually!

I would love to find out how old this ring is, what style this is, the possible meaning/sentiment behind the layout and potentially even who is likely to have made it if that’s not a completely impossible task! I’m happy to do plenty of research myself but thought I’d ask here to see if anyone had any interesting leads or suggestions! I live in a small town in GA so there aren’t really any experts in the field!

I have attached lots of photographs and a video.

The ring doesn’t have and any marks or stamps on the inside of the band but it does look to have possibly been adjusted in size at some point to make it a little smaller.

The words on the outside of the band read “nos coeurs unis” which I believe is French for “our hearts united”.

I don’t believe the box it is in to be its original box because the slot the ring sits in is much wider than the ring itself. But it does appear to possibly be of similar age.

Thank you in advance!!

Styling tips

Hello! I'm sorry if this isn't the correct place to post this but this group has been so fun and informative (please delete if not allowed). I am slowly building a collection and have fallen in love with a Victorian frog brooch at a local store. I have a milestone birthday coming up and have budgeted for a cool gift for myself. I think this could be it. My fear is that I won't wear it or know how to wear it. I would love some inspiration on how to style these more artistic pieces and make them work. Bonus points for any outfit pics people feel comfortable sharing highlighting their pieces.

I finally found one!

I've been hunting for a victorian ring in my price range, and I ended up finding this one on eBay and sent a bit of a lowball offer and the seller ended up accepting! It's a baby ring that is tiny, but I'm buying it as a pinky ring. 10ct with a garnet dating to around 1890 supposedly. It was an American seller so it'll have to come overseas to me, I lament the current shipping fees from America to Australia, it's so expensive. But I'm very excited to have finally found one in my price range, I've been hunting for months!

Memento Mori Pendant project —United States

Acquired a very interesting pendant that I wanted to show and learn more about. To my knowledge, this is what I know about the pendant:
- General info: Antique Memento Mori Pendant
- ivory carved skull w/ coral eyes & diamond pins; set in 875 Silver (stamped)
- all gold & heavily decorated at one point but gold plating is faded & gems/decorations removed
- the border might’ve houses either similar coral used in the eyes or has had jet/enamel filling
- noticed the top & bottom, left & right where the empty space is— must’ve had some ornate decorations removed given there parts of the pendant “filed” and shaven down

I’m in love with this piece & want to know more about it to have it restored w/ materials, and methods of it time

Assistance with pendant

Edit: I learned from the seller that it is indeed foil backed and I just don’t think i can trust myself with something that needs special care, I will forget and shower with it. I do love the irregularity of it though maybe it’s not everyone’s taste.

Hello, I was hoping someone could help me with more info on a piece I am thinking about buying. It apparently was an antique earring that was converted. They are rose cut diamonds and 14k gold. I love it but I’m wondering how durable it would be. I understand that if diamonds have foiled backs then they are not safe for water and I am kind of hard on things and an active person. Are these foiled backs? Anything else I should know?

I need some help determining the age on this brooch. French hallmarked 800 silver (boar's head mark) miniture painting on ivory, surrounded with seed pearls.

What have I been missing!

So after spending a small fortune and awaiting delivery of four gorgeous looking moissanite rings, I started taking notice of what people on here were sharing. I opened my jewellery box and took out my 1980’s engagement ring. Then I took out two very special rings. Left to me by my Nanna. An eternity band (gold and diamonds) and a cross over, V shaped gold ring with diamonds. I put them all together and … OMG… I was blown away!!! Please excuse my fat fingers. But look how my Nanna is completely loving me from top to bottom! I just had to share. I can’t believe I’ve never put these together before. She is telling me something, for sure!

Found in my now ex-husband's grandmother's jewelry box after she passed away

My now ex-husband's family passed around grandma's jewelry box after she passed away in 2003. I thought these were interesting and likely quite old. The brooch I think might be Victorian? And the bracelet art deco? Not sure about the pendant (maybe bolero tie or scarf tie?) The pendant has markings that say 926 and 14k. The bracelet marking appears to say B 1/26-12k. The brooch doesn't have any I can see.

Grandma’s necklace

I have a necklace my grandma made. I want to clean it up but I’m afraid I’ll damage it. I don’t know anything about the beads or their value. Should I take it somewhere for restoration or dunk it in dish soap and put it on?
Edit: I’m 67 so this necklace is old!

What is this? From when/where?

Inherited this from a family that had connections to Ukraine, Russia, Austria, Mexico, Algeria and god knows where else. I‘d be super interested to know more. Sadly, it’s a little damaged, still so pretty. no markings.
Thank you!

Art Deco Ring

Any info on this? New to vintage jewelry. Received as a gift. This isnt exactly my style, but I am not sure I want to sell because of the engraving. Are these common?

Can anyone identify this 18k gold French signet ring?

This ring was purchased at an antique shop or flea market in France more than 20 years ago. Can anyone help determine its age or the families it may be connected to? TIA!

Is there a way to tell how old this is and who made it?

I bought this from a precous metals store. He said the stone was jade but I easily scratched it with a pick. An AI search said it's probably aged ivory. I think in that case I would need to prove it's over 100 years old if I wanted to sell it in the US.

Antique Family Brooch

My grandmother just gifted me this brooch. I'm not sure how long it's been in my family, but I'm pretty sure it's potentially early Victorian. The clasp is very early, pretty sure the metal is brass but I'm unsure if the cabochon is glass or something else. Coral doesn't reflect like this does, and my dad is positive it's carnelian but I don't think it's dark enough. There's no mark, either. If anyone has any pointers or tips on dating pieces like this I'd appreciate it! I'm pretty new to the trade but want to learn anything I can :)

Anyone know what this marking is?

I’m shopping for wedding bands but couldn’t find anymore information on this marking next to the platinum mark.

Bohemian Design Kashmir Ruby & Sterling Bracelet and Earring Set

Picked up this set recently from a church thrift store where I have found some absolutely amazing pieces. Have found a 647 gram 1940 Sterling water pitcher ($5), four 14k gold 5-10 gram brooches ($27). This is certainly in my top 5 finds there although I did pay up a bit more ($50), still a smoking deal in my book. Would be interested to hear if others would have paid $50 on the set. I didn’t see the “title” on the box till after I got it home and also found a service receipt in the box from post replacements on the earrings.

Hoping someone can provide a bit more info on the pieces, I’m on the fence about age, they showed age but I cleaned them up a bit. If someone knows for sure they are certainly modern, I apologize. Regardless I just hope others enjoy. I think they’re wonderful.
