great grandmothers watch

hey yall! just wanted to come on here and see if anyone could give me any info on my great grandmothers watch i was gifted. its probably
70+ years old, but i am not sure bc im no expert! just going off of how old she was when she passed (she was 96 years old in 1995 i think???)
it doesn’t work anymore, so i’m going to try and get it fixed.
i’ve always felt really close to my great grandmother spiritually, so im really excited to have received this gift and would love any insight anyone has on how old it may be, and whether it can be fixed :) thank yall so much!

did you have your honeymoon immediately after your wedding?

i am getting married a year from now, and am mourning the fact that i might not be able to go on my honeymoon right after my wedding because of my career (starting residency)
most orientations start the monday after i get married so im kind of sol and can’t move the date as of now

if anyone got married then waited a while to go on your honeymoon, do you feel like you missed out?

internship starts and wedding

I am having quite the dilemma and would really appreciate any insight from those who have been through the internship match process.

I am a fourth-year veterinary student, and I am hoping to pursue a career in ophthalmology, which I know will require completing a rotating internship. After seeing the start dates for students starting rotating internships who recently graduated, I have become increasingly concerned about the timing of my wedding. I am getting married about a year from now, which seems to fall right around the time that many rotating internships begin.

I know this may sound short-sighted in the grand scheme of a career, but I have always dreamed about my wedding, and it is something that my fiancé and I have been planning for a long time. Our wedding date is essentially set in stone at this point, deposits have been paid, and we had very limited options from both the church and our venues. Our engagement is also already going to be almost three years long by the time we get married.

We are also starting to look at honeymoon options and are planning to get trip insurance regardless, but I am feeling unsure about how realistic any of this will be. I guess my main question is will I actually be able to enjoy my wedding weekend, or am I going to be stressed about rushing off to wherever I match immediately afterward? Is taking a honeymoon before starting a rotating internship even possible, or is that something I should not count on?

I feel like I am already mourning something that I am not even sure is going to happen, and I would really appreciate any honest insight, advice, or experiences from anyone who has navigated something similar.
