I had always wanted a sapphire ring with lots of diamonds in leave shape.. I am so excited!! However the jeweler told me the diamond are delicate and it is easy to lose them .

My partner and I are still in the process of getting my actual ring. I’m very minimal with my jewelry and this is the second marriage for both of us so we liked the idea of a sapphire. (My first marriage I had a diamond solitaire) I picked out a lovely, sweet bezel setting and it was just about to be purchased when someone’s truck engine decided to take a dump! Life is expensive and unpredictable, y’all.

So, while he gets all that sorted my mom offered me a ring of hers to wear in the meantime. I grew up with her wearing this ring after a boyfriend got it for her in the early 90’s, but it wasn’t an engagement ring for her. I wasn’t sure if I would like it and I have a weird relationship with her that might give the ring some vibes.

Anyway, I friggin love it and it’s not my style but I feel like a princess with it on and what the heck right?

The only details I know are that it is 14k gold with natural diamonds and a natural sapphire. Apparently there is paperwork somewhere but who knows. I’m gonna guess the diamonds are about .5 carat each and the sapphire is over 1 but under 2.

Just got it back after a clean and a polish at the jewelers and here it is sparkling under the insane lighting at our local pizza place.

I was hesitant to choose a sapphire at first because I thought it would be too out of the ordinary not to pick a diamond. But we found the exact stone I wanted online and had it set. I LOVE having a blue stone I havent once regretted the decision.

this is a 3ct sapphire and my ring size is 3.5-4 BTW.

So I’m just wondering which of these lovely Sri Lanken sapphires would you choose for your ring, and why? I feel like it would be nice to hear a range of opinions from people who love gems as much as I do.

I tried to include several pics of the sapphires in all kinds of lighting, just please excuse my outgrown manicure lol. I’m a busy gal and haven’t had time to get a new set!

So over the moon about the proposal but man am I in love with my ring. My fiance customized the design and paid a little more to keep the original sapphire. He did an amazing job!

Fiancé was looking for months before I decided to look myself too. Nothing really came close to this ring on Felicegals with the engraving, color, and gem setting as a whole so we took a chance. The day of the proposal came and she’s absolutely stunning! Holds up well, looks just like the picture, and even matched my fiancé’s shirt the day of 🥹💖

Also pictured is a locket from the thrift store with our dog who passed a little more than a year ago. So it was like he was with us too!!

I was originally torn between sapphire and a diamond, we went sapphire and I love it! We chose the stone and then he did the rest and proposed at our first date spot. Love it and him so much! There’s also a diamond from my Mimi inside the band!
