How hard actually is it to study in China as a postgraduate student

Hello! Recently I got admitted into a masters degree program in SJTU (in english) and I was wondering how was your experience.

How is the course load and how hard are the classes and tests in the c9 universities for programs in english for foreigners?

I have heard that the level of exigency is not as high for programs for foreigners versus the Chinese programs for the Chinese students. Is this true? How were your experiences? Just so I can prepare myself a little to have a really heavy course load and high level of stress.

I am fully aware that it will be very hard but I want to hear about actual experiences.

Any help or feedback is welcome!

Hey!

I wanted to ask about how is the process for travel outside of China while on a student visa studying a Masters degree. Is it restricted? Do I have to let them know if I want to leave the country ( or ask for permission ). If I have a family emergency ( relaitve sick or dying, etc) can I leave in a hurry?

Also if I want to travel for like a small vacation or a weekend.

Any information helps.

Thanks!

Hey!
I am going to China for a masters degree in September and I wanted to ask if it was possible to work a part time job or work in the university as a TA with a student visa.
If not, do you have any advice on how to have an income while studying in China?
Thanks!
