Of the new values for Byz. Latin and roman something or the other. Which is more in line with "Reclaiming the old glory of the Roman Empire"

From what i understand Roman whats it is more like forgetting the old empire and instead embracing a new identity as Byzantium and NOT the Roman empire. And Latin seems the opposite But at the same time events seems the suggest otherwise. Though i may just be dumb. Thoughts?

TLDR: Which new byz value for roleplaying purposes is supposed to represent returning to the Roman Empire
