Sorry if this is the wrong sub to put under!

This is my first time living in accommodation where I had to figure out bills separately and not use a company that joined them all together with a fixed payment each month.

I set up with EON and the first month my meter reading was 04425 in which I was charged £62.65. Now this month the reading was 04907 and I’ve been charged £112.64?

I live in a 1 bed flat with my boyfriend in Salford. All electric based (stove, oven, boiler). We have not turned the heating on since moving in - the one thing is that we do a lot of clothes washing.

I don’t quite understand how I’ve been charged so much just for one month, but even if it’s correct, I would like to change this.. how do I reduce this bill?

Hi guys,

Does anyone else come home with extremely stinky clothes?

My boyfriend is a potwash and gets pretty wet at work combined with sweating, and so when he comes home with his clothes in the bag it stinks like real bad- when we wash them the smell is still kind of there and mixes in with other clothes.

Any tips/ tricks on dealing with this?

EDIT: we have tried washing clothes separately! It’s like his work clothes contaminate the washing machine or something lol

Hi all, bit of context but I’m a bank lab worker under a private company (England)

My manager takes our timesheets in before a certain due dates a processes them for us for payroll. I handed mine in time and skip to payday, I don’t get paid and am told my timesheet was missed and I have to wait until next month.

As a student, who has bills and rent to pay this is extremely frustrating and I’ve even tried to call payroll and they are not picking up!

Any advice for me?
