Saskatoon’s Most Misunderstood Road Sign

PSA: You have your own lane. Stop yielding to this sign.

Nothing says elite Saskatoon driving like seeing an “added lane” sign and treating it like a full stop. You’ve got your own lane. It’s engineered so traffic keeps moving. It's also easier to merge rolling at the same speed as traffic rather than a complete stop.

But sure, stop for no reason, wave people through, then try to cut across three lanes while yours sits empty. At this point it should just be a sign that reads "If you stop here, you’re the problem."

Flash of light?

So, it is 2 am. My partner and I go outside to enjoy the stillness of the early morning... and then there was a flash that seemed to light up the sky. It was there and then gone again.

But there was zero sound of thunder. Only a Passenger plane was heard overhead. No lightning supposedly (after checking a lightning tracker) within 300 Km of us. The night is mostly clear too! I even went to check if a transformer blew... but nothing is showing up on NSP Outages.

We both saw it, so we're hoping we're not crazy.. but did anyone else see it? Cause we heard nothing.

Poisonous Plants?

My mother called me about these plants when she was doing lawn work over the last few days. She didn’t immediately recognize it and spoke to one of her plant friends who said it might have been poisonous. Something about how if it is cut the oils from it could get on the skin and mess someone up for years because it removes the UV protected parts of the skin.

I am greatly hoping it isn’t that, but she has horses and a dog that we also don’t want them getting sick. So, does anyone know what these plants are?

Edit: This is in Nova Scotia, Canada.
