Weird seeds found at my job

Some kids at my work found some seed pods with these inside. They said it came off of a nearby tree, and most of the kids who touched them got very itchy (they also said their skin burned, but I’m pretty sure that’s because they wouldn’t quit scratching the itchy spots). The kids are home, and thusly no longer my responsibility, but I couldn’t find anything useful on google, so here I am, sheerly out of curiosity. I work in SoCal, sorry for the lack of other pictures, I was sweaty and annoyed, so I didn’t go looking for more.

What is this vine-like weed?

This plant is very aggressive and has been creeping over to my property from my neighbours. Last year I could see it climbing my neighbours foundation and under their siding, so I would like to prevent it from spreading to my house.

Google seems to think its Japanese Knotweed, however, I haven't seen any mid-summer growth that resembles this weed.

Location: Northwestern Ontario, Canada

Plant details:

  • New growth looks like red asparagus
  • Roots are very deep and thick
  • Mid-summer growth is vine-like, with leaves that look like grape leaves, and tendrils that help it climb and stick
  • Can completely take over trees and shrubs
  • Can grow in dark places such as behind siding

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi all, bought these bedding plants a few weeks back and lost the tag. They have actually grown way better than I could have expected and want to get more. Any idea what I have?

I'm in Ireland.

What is this

The tiny red and green leaves are all over my lawn, and when I dig them up they’re connected to giant roots running underground. The roots run sideways, in all directions, so it’s like I’m pulling up rope. They don’t seem to be connected to a tree, unless it’s one like 20 ft + away (there’s some woods behind our house and our neighbors have a few trees). I’ll keep digging to try to find the source, but anyone know what this is?

Strawberry or cinquefoil or ??

Have this growing next to some strawberries that already have small strawberries but this one doesn’t have any berries. I’m starting to think it’s not strawberry. Leaf snap says cinquefoil but I’m not sure that’s it either… help?

What are these things that keep falling onto my cars windshield?

Sometimes theyre fluffy and white, other times they're green as can be. I know theyre spreading seeds for some kind of plant, but what specifically? Forgot to mention location is Maine, in the far north eastern US.
