Do your OCs have playlists?

Do your OCs have playlists?

I spend a lot of time curating playlists, so I obviously had to make one for Osore, and since there are two versions of this character depending on where you are in the timeline, he's got two playlists.

Bond-era Osore is anything you can dance to, or that has way too much attitude for a U.A Student. (https://open.spotify.com/playlist/2vXBBghONjRgOqmsP29Jf2?si=f86d2426b0044c67)

Terminus-era Osore is anything that can be used as a theme song for "walk and talk like you own the place" (https://open.spotify.com/playlist/5wRhWdHGMiRtCNvi3ocNMz?si=10946cee0377483b)

Do you guys have playlists or theme songs for your OCs?

Meet Osore "Bond" Todokae

Osore Todokae,

also called Bond "the Hero who protects what ties people together" is a Hero Course student who entered U.A alongside Mirio, Nejire and Tamaki.

While he wears confidence like it's a pair of socks, he's also the guy who will tell you you're wrong by mocking you until it pisses you off enough to do better. And then giving you a wink and a thumbs up because you improved.

He holds everyone else to a very high standard he already imposes on himself. His main challenge is to refrain from defaulting to instinct when losing control of a situation, which makes him a poor team player. He often reaches objectives doing so, which is the main reason the lesson has a hard time landing.

Osore can't learn with theory only. He runs head first into failure then comes back with a new plan until it works while making sure everyone else watches when he gets it right. And acting like any failed attempt never existed.

One observation stuck with him since his first year. "Good outcome, wrong execution."

His quirk is Nanocell.

It allows him to reprogram the cells of his body to create matter. His creations cannot be disconnected from his body or they disintegrate, and he can't produce liquids.

He mainly uses it to create weapons and tools. Mirio once asked him why he never uses it to make something simply beautiful, he couldn't answer. Which for Osore, is very rare.

His arsenal so far :

Nanoblade : A 50cm long flat blade able to cut through wood and concrete. He's still trying to figure out how to deal with metal.

Icarus : The Nanoblade separated into 12 shards linked by wire to form a whip. It was mainly developed to solve the verticality problem he faced when he lost to Nejire during the Sports Festival Tournament. It was also named after her, since he used it to throw her to the ground instead of chasing her airborne.

Battle Mask : The first tool he ever created. A mask he deploys when fighting that covers his face up to his nose. Initially designed to counter any uppercut attempt, it was later improved with air filters when he unfortunately discovered Midnight's quirk.

If you want to see him in action, you can read the fanfic I started writing last year, still ongoing.

Tales of the Symbol of Order - An ongoing fanfic beginning two years before canon

Hey everyone,

This story takes place two years before canon, following my OC through UA alongside the future Big Three before any of them became what the canon knows them as.

His name is Osore Todokae. Talented, arrogant, genuinely brilliant, and completely convinced that heroism is about protecting the things that hold people together. He's right about that. He's wrong about almost everything else.

Primarily, a heads up on what this story is not :

This is not a power fantasy about an OC showing up and immediately becoming the strongest person in the room.

It's not an OCxCanon character romance.

It's not a story about replacing Deku.

It's not a story about proving canon characters wrong.

It's not a story where every established character suddenly exists to praise the protagonist.

And despite where the character eventually ends up, it isn't an edgelord murderfest either.

What you'll find here are the introduction of a character who will later hold up his very own answer to MHA's main question : "Can anyone become a Hero?".

The goal is to tell the story of a hero student who slowly, and sometimes painfully, learns what it takes to become a Hero, while discovering whether a strong ambition can survive within a flawed system.

If you're looking for an OC integrated into the MHA world with a long character arc, an evolving cast, and a lot of attention paid to cause and effect, then this might be your thing. Canon characters are treated with care and the world is taken seriously. The story has weight and occasionally earns it the hard way.

Can't wait to hear your thoughts on this work!

So far the story is written up to half of Vol.2, I plan on finishing it by the end of summer, and I'll start Vol.3, the conclusion, by late 2026
