How can I fix a permanent memory leak?
Hi!
I recently installed the Prominence II RPG modpack, and I find it quite fun. Plus, I downloaded a couple more mods for furniture like Macaw's, but no more.
The only problem is that after playing the modpack for 1-2 hours, the RAM starts to run into the limits set for it, and because of this, I freeze for 1-2 seconds every 5 seconds. At the same time, as long as there are no freezes, the game easily produces around 70-80 FPS with Complementary Shaders. My computer has only 16 gigabytes of RAM, so I can allocate about 8-8.5 GB to Minecraft. I also set a parameter in the launcher settings that should clear out clogged RAM if it gets close to 75% full (but apparently he doesn't want to work properly). The swap file is also about 24 GB, I don't know if it matters.
To be honest, I'm not sure if it's about any fashion or Minecraft in general, but this is not the case in other games. Chat GPT and Claude said it could be the shaders or the Sodium itself, but I'm not sure I have the right to safely change the basic mods of the finished build (at least it seems that way to me).
I am ready to provide any other additional information if it helps the case. Thank you in advance!
