A critical vulnerability has been discovered in certain versions of Litematica and Servux

A critical vulnerability has been discovered in certain versions of Litematica and Servux for Minecraft 1.21+, allowing malicious servers to send files outside the intended schematic directory. In the worst case, this could be used to install malware on a player's computer. If you've used an affected version and joined untrusted servers, update Litematica (and Servux if you run a server) to the latest patched release immediately. As a precaution, you can also search your system for files containing .litematic in the filename (such as something.litematic.jar), as these may indicate malicious files, though this check is not comprehensive.

What model for my mod is better in your opinion?

Previously I made a model for the columns and capitals for my greco roman building mod, I reduced the polygons a lot from previous iterations, what looks better the 4 sided version or the octagonal?

I created OnyxLauncher — a Minecraft Java Edition launcher for Android with mods & shaders support

Hey Minecraft community 👋

I wanted to share my project — OnyxLauncher, a Minecraft Java Edition launcher built for Android devices.

Current features:

✅ Play Minecraft Java Edition on Android

✅ Vanilla support

✅ Fabric, Quilt and NeoForge support

✅ Shader support

✅ Local mods and modpacks support

✅ Game statistics

✅ Regular updates and improvements

The launcher is still growing, and I'm constantly working on better compatibility, performance and new features.

I would really appreciate feedback from Minecraft players — suggestions, bug reports or honest reviews help improve the project ❤️

Google Play:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cannon.onyxlauncher

edit: Update about open source: I have listened to the community feedback. OnyxLauncher will become open source within the next 7 days. I need some time to prepare the repository, clean up the code, review everything and make sure it is published properly. I respect open-source projects and developers, and I want OnyxLauncher to grow in a transparent and fair way. Thanks everyone for the feedback and suggestions.

Conflicting mixinextras version requests, please help

I'm trying to make a modpack for myself om curseforge, but as you can see there are several mods requesting conflicting versions of mixinextras. How do I fix this? Mods requesting conflicting versions are Circle of Craft, Accessories, Woodwalkers and Craftedcore (both necessary for Remorphed), Pehkui, Pandoras Box, and atlas_core. I tried adding the mixedinextras neoforge fix mod, but it didn't help and instead also appeared as requesting a conflicting mixinextras version. I didn't find any duplicates either, and everything is fully updated. Please help

Can anyone confirm if Modrinth works on Windows 8.1?

I've been wanting to try modded MC, but my laptop's really old. The actual Modrinth page doesn't say anything about a minimum system requirement. But when I googled it, I found a comment on GitHub from (who I assume to be) one of the devs, saying "The Rust toolchain we use to build the Modrinth app no longer supports Windows 7 and now requires at least Windows 10." The post was talking about Windows 7, but I can't find anything on if it works on 8.1 or not.
Sorry if this is a stupid question, I'm new to mods and just anxious about something going wrong.

Edit: no I'm not switching to Linux, if you can't give me a simple yes or no then don't bother replying

Tried modded minecraft, got completely overwhelmed

So a few days ago, I decided to play FTB Architect's Exodus with friends, and this was effectively my first modded mc experience. However, I kinda got burnt out very quickly because I got overwhelmed by the quests and the fact that I was unable to progress quickly while they were much faster.

I really think this sorta modded mc is interesting, but due to my lack of familiarity with the mods, I got overwhelmed and extremely confused very quickly. Do you all have a recommendation for a good modpack I can start with to get into modded mc that isn't too hard to learn but still gives me the basics of the major modpacks like allthemods 10 or ftb stuff so that I can get into this without quickly getting confused?

My Helldivers 2 Minecraft mod (very unfinished) Minecraft Mod on Planet Minecraft!

Its highly, highly unfinished, however, if you notice bugs or have any suggestions feel free to drop a comment on planet Minecraft! (i likely won't check here on reddit lol)

some bugs in this version that i already fixed in my latest build:

- the automatons lasers now glow (took me longer to fix this than i care to admit)

- the wood from veld is no longer labeled malevelon (i copied my other wood-type and forgot to change it)

- super earth citizens no longer spawn on veld (idk how i missed this XD)

Need help from an experienced person (for a nice 10$ tip)

Hey so i made a lil minecraft server for me and my friends on https://www.g-portal.com/ and we started a vanilla world ( i didnt know what i was doing, still don't ) and i would love to install a few small mods but i just can't seem to figure it out for the life of me. I have spent hours and i just can't get them to work. We have already started building in this world and have gotten pretty far, so i would like to keep this world. So, what i need is:

  1. somehow save my current world with everything in it.
  2. create a new, non vanilla server where i can install the mods
  3. put the old world in there and install a few mods.

anyone who can maybe get on call with me and just guide me through the steps on doing that would be greatly appreciated. preferably you have experience with gportal and filezilla. tysm!

I gotta know what mod creates these mist clouds after rain, it DEVOURS my fps

I suspect:

Particle rain (duh)

maybeee...subtle effects?

And nothing else tbh, but I'm really lost, I tried to turn off mist after rain in the config of particle rain, but it doesn't go away, so I'm not really sure, I gotta turn it off or tone it down in some way cuz it just demolishes my fps

any help would be appreciated, the whole modlist is in the second photo

EDIT: It is particle rain indeed.

Introducing Launchpad: Port your Fabric mods to NeoForge with zero platform-dependent code

We're happy to announce the release of our latest mod in the Sinytra ecosystem, Launchpad!

Launchpad is a small tool aimed at Fabric developers that lets you bring your mod to NeoForge without writing any platform-dependent code. Your mod metadata, entrypoints, class tweakers, registration code etc. stay the same.

When the game starts, Launchpad automatically discovers installed compatible fabric mods and loads them into neoforge as if they were written natively for the loader. At a glance, it is similar to Connector, but it does not make any changes to your mod on its own and requires explicit opt-in from the mod developer.

It's perfectly suited for modders who were considering using Connector to make their mod compatible with NeoForge, but were worried about the potential side-effects it might come with. Launchpad gives you full control over changes made to your mod and has effectively no runtime overhead.

At the same time, Launchpad's release is yet another step towards our upcoming Connector port. By separating the base locator and loader code into its own project, we provide mod devs with a lightweight solution and also improve its stability through automated tests and a smaller test surface. The Connector port is nearly done and at the moment we're mainly focusing on testing mods for compatibility. More on that in a later post!

Also huge thanks to u/MoriyaShiine for testing this early and finding many of my stupid bugs.

Java.util.concurrentModificationException. NOTHING is working

Me and my girlfriend have a world on a Minecraft mod pack that just has a bunch of those little cute farming things. It worked before but we added like 6 mods on the server (which I’ve done before with no issue) and now it gives me this. I tried allocating more ram, deleting the “install” folder, messing with the version of fabric, all of it. The biggest thing that makes no sense is that it works for my girlfriend just fine and never had issues (she is hosting and it’s her mod pack). It also happens to my mod pack I made. I’ve searched for 3 hours and some time yesterday as well. The only thing I haven’t been able to try is this solution about some stuff in the code/script of the crash report or mod pack itself. I don’t know what to do and this is incredibly frustrating

Tired of messy advancement screens? Check out my new mod: Lucid Advancements!

If you play large modpacks, you probably know how unusable the vanilla advancements screen gets once you have dozens of mods installed. It turns into a massive, overlapping web that is almost impossible to navigate.

I made Lucid Advancements to fix exactly that. It's a completely client-side overhaul that replaces the vanilla tree with a clean, list-based interface.

Main Features:

  • Search & Mod Filtering: You can search by title, description, or isolate specific mods by typing @modid (like @create or @farmersdelight).
  • HUD Tracking: Pin your current goals to your screen so you can track your progress in real-time without constantly opening the menu.
  • Expandable Requirements: Click on any advancement card to see a detailed checklist of exactly what you are missing.
  • Client-Side Only: You don't need this on the server. Just drop it into your modpack instance and it reads all vanilla and modded data seamlessly.

Currently available for 1.21+ across all major loaders (Forge, NeoForge, Fabric).

Would love to hear your feedback or suggestions if you decide to try it out!

Issues with chunk loading and poor optimization in the modpack

Recently, while adding various mods to the modpack I’m trying to improve ranging from structure and cosmetic mods to optimization mods (which, as you can see in the video, aren't actually working) and mods that add a lot of bosses. I ran into some issues. Unfortunately, for reasons that aren't entirely clear, I noticed that chunks are loading terribly and NOT smoothly. I tried to make sure the problem is clearly visible in the video, and I think the situation is well-illustrated. I’ve also included a list below of the mods in the pack I’m working on; the modpack itself is called "Ice and Fire: Dragons." I should add that I don't want to use a mod like "Chunky," because the way it worked for me meant I would have to wait 24 hours to generate a 10,000-by-10,000-block area and we all know that everyone wants the map to be fully loaded.

Allocated RAM: 8GB

Graphic Cards:
- AMD Radeon(TM) Graphics
- NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600H with Radeon Graphics
