Best way to fix solar panels to a flat GRP roof?

Hi, I’ve just bought some large plug in solar panels. They’re about 2mx1m and im planning on putting them on my flat roof. It’s in Manchester and the roof is above the 1st floor so relatively exposed. Im trying to decide between ballast and fixings. Has anybody got experience with this? What did you do? One option im also considering would be to screw metal brackets over the edge of the roof and through the soffit and into the end of the joists/wall plate.

Anybody else feel less fit after fuelling on runs?

Hi All,

Trying to work out my fuelling strategy for an upcoming ultra. I did a dress rehearsal the other day for a few hours trying to consume the correct amount of calories per hour. I’ve always noticed that when I eat properly on runs I feel less fit. I don’t feel uncomfortable or sick. I just feel like im untrained for the next hour until the food settles. Im doing things correctly e.g. easy to digest food at regular 20 minute intervals. Going for about 250-300cals an hour. Does this just go away with practice? Have any of you experienced this and found a way around it?

Hi All,

I have a Mac Studio M1 with 64gb Ram, Seqouia 15.0.1. All of my footage is proxied fx9 footage. Audio is in WAV format. The project is large but no complex timelines and no effects. But its still not rendering waveforms quickly or playing audio immediately and often cuts out during playback. What can I check to make it run quicker?

Thanks!

Just been going back through some old ultras on Strava and noticed that on one of them I had a large descent after the 8 hour effort (the race finished at a summit). We were moving super slowly and steady downhill all the way to the cars. Over that hour my average heart rate was 154bpm. On a fresh day it was the kind of walk I wouldn’t expect to get over 100bpm on. Is there a point where you could look at your heart rate and say ‘my body’s telling me I could go on but my heart rate is looking dangerous and I should stop’. Or can you always trust yourself to go by how your body is feeling and physical symptoms.
