Can’t solve DPC latency issues and audio crackling
Hi everyone. My Laptop model is an Omen ek15 (bought in 2021).
I use an external audio interface, for recording and listening to music.
As the title says, all of a sudden the audio started to make clicks and pops and giving me latency problems. I used this laptop for 5 years and never had any problems with this. One day, I don’t know why, it started to do this, and it’s very persistent.
I downloaded LatencyMon and the program itself said I have in fact some issues with the latency. In the driver page in LatencyMon the driver which seems to give all of the problems is wdf01000.sys and ACPI.
I tried everything, following YT videos and changing things like power management, usb power, unpacking cpu cores, high performance mode, disabling all audio drivers and other drivers that I’m not using, updating the BIOS, all the things that for everyone worked, for me not unfortunately.
I read that this is kind of a common problem with gaming laptops, even in the HP support, all the answers seem to be useless.
I was wondering if someone had maybe that same issue and knows how to fix it, or if I have to just realize my laptop is now fucked with this and I have to buy another one.
