Please help me understand this BSNL FTTH billing period discrepancy

I haven't been paying attention to the BSNL generated bills for quite sometime but yesterday while sorting, it suddenly struck me.

Up until May 2025, my BSNL bill used to be generated for the current month. E.g. the invoice date (02/05/2025) for usage period 01/05/2025 to 31/05/2025, meaning, I used to pay the bill in advance for usage in the current month. But sometime between June, 2025 to December, 2025, BSNL changed the usage period to the previous month. E.g the invoice date (02/08/2025) for usage period 01/07/2025 to 31/07/2025, meaning I was paying for usage in the previous month.

Unfortunately, I don't have the invoices for the period June to December 2025 as the e-mails from BSNL arrived in the spam folder & got auto-deleted after 30 days. So I don't know exactly when BSNL changed the usage period from current to previous month. The selfcare portal only allows me to download invoice from January 2026 onwards and all of them are for usage in the previous month.

I have been paying bills every month since May, 2025 to May, 2026 as I have kept all the payment receipts. The bill amount has been fixed since I haven't changed my plan in the last several years.

My question is have I not paid an extra one month bill if the usage period changed from current month to previous month during the period June, 2025 to December 2025?
