my "friend" group is at a discourse over an ad lib in shrek 2
Hello everyone,
First time posting, I hope I am in the right location for this.
Recently, one of our "colleagues" stated that at the end of Shrek 2, when Donkey (Eddie Murphy) and Puss in Boots (Antonio Banderas) are singing Livin La Vida Loca (By ricky martin).
During the scene where Shrek is running through an open field, one can only assume the greenery is grass, and it displays Shrek's voice actor (Mike Myers), there is an adlib in the song cover that is not present in the original that says "Hey, Donkey, that's Spanish." Half of us are saying that this is in fact Antonio Banderas, the other half believe it is different voice somewhat in a British London accent (which is completely false, but I'm impartial and I don't care.).
The Shrek Wiki says that the song and ad lib comes under Puss in boots:
Insinuating that Puss is in fact the one who says this line.
Can people please confirm, that the singer who says "hey donkey, that's Spanish" is Puss in Boots.
I have linked some sources to back up this claim, and the original clip that was provided when this discussion began.
